Seinfeld's reruns have generated $3.1 billion since the finale aired 15 years ago. A show based on "nothing" has ended up the most profitable show of all time.. who would have thought!

The show’s earnings allowed co-creators Jerry and Larry David to receive up to $400 million each. The co-creators share the profit with Warner Brothers which owns the rights to the shows.

The half-hour episode is reported to earn more than $17 million, making it the most profitable 30-minute show in television history. Still excluded are revenues from the DVD and international sales.

In 1997, the stars of the show were reported to be paid $1 million while co-stars Michael Richards, Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Jason Alexander received $600,000 – making the quartet the highest-paid cast on television during that time.

Seinfeld has a net worth of $800 million. He has earned billions from his books and as a public speaker plus the $10 million pay from Microsoft in 2008 for a handful of ads. Jerry is also a famed car collector, having one of the biggest Porsche collections in the world.
