Model and plastic surgery fan Katie Price even slammed Madonna for working too much on her face. She wrote in her column in The Sun, "Let's focus on - or should I say freeze frame - Madonna's face first. When she walked out on to the stage at the weekend I couldn't even concentrate on what she was saying because I was mesmerized by her puffy cheeks and stretched eyes. She looks like a swollen blancmange," she added.
During her recent Sound Of Change concert in London, Madonna’s unrecognizable appearance earned negative reactions. She appeared with a taut face which lead others to think that it is the result of too much Botox and that she has undergone plastic surgery.
Dr. Netri said Madonna has resorted to an excessive amount of face-freezing Botox into her forehead, frown line and around the eyes.
While NYC dermatologist Dr. Bruce Katz, has a different approach on Madonna’s case. He said the "Material Girl" singer has undergone treatments using a Smartxide DOT CO2 laser. He said using laser instead of surgery won’t do much modification on your face. It will only take you back to your old face but won’t change the way you look.
Dr. Katz also believes Madonna did four to six treatments, causing her a smooth light skin, no dark circles and tight skin. Each session costs $975, so six sessions would be over $6,000 including other add ons. This is cheaper compared to a typical facelift surgery which would cost you $15,000 - $20,000.
Others speculated it was the result of a failed plastic surgery due to her shiny forehead, large eyes tilted upward at the edges, and fat pads in her cheeks.
She was rumored to have had the following operations: cheek implant (Malar Augmentation) for $2,350; eyelid surgery (Blepharoplasty) for $3,150; forehead lift for $3,100 and lips for $1,600.
