“Friends” an NBC sitcom made Jennifer Aniston, one of the most loved and popular actresses both in television and film. Jennifer was on the verge of quitting her acting career when she decided to audition for "Friends". Landing the role of Rachel Green from 1994- 2004.


Rachael Green was a fashion enthusiast who came from a wealthy family but experiences difficulty keeping up with her lifestyle once moving to New York. Her old friend from high school Monica played by  Courteney Cox takes her in and offers her a place to live. Later on in the show Rachel moves up in her career, starting as a waitress at the local coffee shop to management at Bloomingdale's and later at Ralph Lauren. Jennifer Anniston’s role as 'Rachel Green' won her both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award.

 The TV sitcom was a huge success which made Jennifer renowned among TV viewers. Her hairstyles over the years were always copied by her fans. At par from her prominence, Jennifer became the highest paid TV actress of all time with $1 million-per-episode for the entire tenth season of Friends.

"Friends" last two seasons gained Jennifer Anniston five Emmy nominations (two for Supporting Actress, three for Lead Actress), including a win for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series.
