If you liked the popular sitcom “Full House”, you might have wanted Aunt Becky and Uncle Jesse to come together in real life as well. Lori Loughlin who played Becky and Jesse’s (John Stamos) love interest, now tells us why she and John never got together in real life, though they shared such an amazing chemistry on the show. A lot of people were indeed very disappointed that they never hooked up for real.
Lori says she was married at the time of doing the show. This is what prevented her from dating John. And by the time she got the divorce, John had already married Rebecca Romjin. So it was never really in their destiny to be together. The chemistry shared by the two on the sitcom was quite palpable. A lot of the viewers even sent letters asking them to come together someday. Lori found this very amusing. She says that the timing was really very unfortunate.
Ironically, John Stamos divorced his wife later in 2004. But Lori had married again in 1997, this time to Mossimo Gianulli. The couple has two daughters who are grown up now.
John appears to be a huge fan of Lori even now. He has even put up the link of this interview on his Facebook page.
Full House was one of the longest running sitcoms on American television. It showcased the life of a single father Danny Tanner and his three children – Stephanie, Deejay and Michele. On the death of his wife, his brother-in-law Jesse and best friend Joey moved in with him to raise the kids. Jesse and Joey get into a lot of mischief on the show. Their characters contributed to making this sitcom very hilarious.
Lori played the role of the demure Becky who worked with Danny Tanner, and eventually falls in love with Jesse and gets married to him.
John Stamos has not shared such great chemistry with any other actress. The only exception is probably Parminder Nagra on the medical television series “ER”. Stamos has been away from television for some time now. He is only seen at social events in New York and Los Angeles.
