Ellen DeGeneres Receives Weekly Salary of $1.2 Million

She has established herself as one of Hollywood's powerful names. According to Forbes, Ellen DeGeneres is earning a salary of $63 million.

She received a rapid increase in her salary in the past six years. In 2007-2008, she received $20 Million; $55 Million from 2019-2010; $45 million from 2010-2011; and $53 million from 2011-2012.

With her $63 million salary, she is estimated to receive $5 million monthly, $1.2 million weekly and $220, 000 daily.

Ellen started out as a comedian in New Orleans before she entered Hollywood. She had her first sitcom, Ellen, launched in 1994 which ran for four seasons on ABC.  She came out as a lesbian in 1997 and in 2003, she launched her own talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show. The show received 29 Daytime Emmy's over seven seasons and succeeded in drawing more than 3.5 million TV viewers. The interactive show features various topics such as celebrity gossips, health news, and comedy, among others.

The 55-year-old married model Portia de Rossi in 2008. Ellen, who is worth $105 million, also recently accepted the role in Disney’s Finding Dory, a sequel to the $921 million grossing film Finding Nemo. She had cameo roles in films such as Coneheads (1993), Mr. Wrong (1996) and Goodbye Lover (1998).
