There are many things that makes a celebrity rich and famous. Although, a person becomes a celebrity, mainly because of their fans. Without an onslaught of fans, celebrities would just be regular people like everyone else. The fans are the ones buying their merchandise, attending their concerts, watching their movies/television shows and the fans are the main reason they are able to earn a living (a good one too) in the busy and hectic Entertainment industry. Unfortunately, this fact often goes unnoticed and not a lot of celebrities realize this. In fact, there is only about a handful of celebs that go out of their way to show appreciation and please their admirers and supporters. Here are eight celebrities that are truly amazing to their fans.
8 Taylor Swift
Just a few months ago, in April 2014, Taylor Swift went above and beyond for a fan when she showed up at her bridal shower. Gena Gabrielle sent an invitation to her idol, inviting her to her bridal party. Gena never thought in a million years that the country singer would actually attend. Lucky for Ms. Gabrielle, Taylor had never been to a bridal party and decided to surprise her fan by traveling to Ohio to attend. Swift walked into the party nonchalantly, carrying gifts and gave Gena Gabrielle and her bridal shower guests, the surprise of a lifetime.
The karaoke stage is a place for many of us to act silly and sing our favorite artists' songs, but it is not exactly a place you would expect to meet your favorite artist at, right?. Well that is not the case for one specific person. In 2011, a woman named Dalal accomplished both. Dalal was on stage at a karaoke bar and was in the middle of singing Rihanna and Drakes' song, 'What's My Name?' To her surprise, Drake was in the vicinity and joined the fan on stage, just in time for his rap verse. After the song, Drake hugged and thanked Dalal for performing with him.
6 Jon Bon Jovi
Branka Delic dreamed of marrying Jon Bon Jovi when she was a little girl and when her wedding approached, she asked for the next best thing. Branka wrote a letter to Bon Jovi, asking him to walk her down the aisle at her wedding, but never expected him to actually respond, let alone actually do it. To her surprise, Bon Jovi showed up a few minutes before the wedding started. Jon fulfilled Branka's dream, by walking her down the aisle and giving her away on her wedding day. I guess it's true what they say, you should never give up on your dreams.
5 Mila Kunis
In 2011, Sgt. Scott Moore, a veteran from the war in Afghanistan worked up the courage to ask Mila Kunis to accompany him to the Marine Corps Ball in Greenville, N. Carolina. He sent the actress an invitation via YouTube, while still in Afghanistan in July 2011 and thought Kunis wouldn't accept his invitation, nor would she ever see the video. To his surprise, Mila not only saw the video, but she also accepted his invitation. Kunis and Moore attended the Marine Corps Ball together in November 2011. Mila was the first celebrity to accept an invitation by a military member to attend a ball. Afterwards, Justin Timberlake and Kristin Cavallari followed in Mila's footsteps by accepting invitations they had received from members of the military.
4 Tom Hanks
3 John Travolta
In June 2013, John Travolta was in Georgia to renew his pilot license. While staying overnight, Travolta stopped at a bar and met a young couple. The couple and Travolta talked for a while and John learned that they were getting married the following afternoon. The next day, before jetting back home, Travolta decided to stop by the wedding and surprise the bride and groom on their big day. The young couple was very delighted to see him and John stayed for a while, chatting and taking pictures with the bridal party and guests.
2 Aaron Paul
In July 2013, Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul was captured on video being an all around down-to-earth and good guy. A family from Ireland was taking the Hollywood home tour bus, when the bus stopped in front of Aaron's home. The 34-year-old actor spotted the tour bus and came outside to greet the fans. Aaron made small talk with the family and explained, "Sometimes I see the van, and sometimes I don't, and then when I do I always try and say hello." After chatting for a bit, Aaron then boarded the bus to take photographs with the family.
1 Bill Murray
Bill Murray takes the cake for the abundance of amazing interactions he has with his fans. In May 2014, Murray crashed a couple's engagement photo shoot in downtown Charleston, S. Carolina. Bill first began by trying to make the couple laugh by pulling up his shirt and slapping his belly. When the photographer realized what was happening behind him, he invited Murray to join in the pictures. Bill Murray happily posed with the couple.
Another amazing interaction occurred at a karaoke bar in New York City. A group of friends spotted Bill Murray and invite him to do karaoke with them. A few minutes later, Murray joined the group of fans and spent the night singing and drinking with them.
Bill Murray is known to crash parties, weddings and even step behind a bar to pour drinks in order to relieve the bartender. He once crashed a college party and when the house ran out of clean cups to drink out of, Murray took it upon himself to hand wash the dishes (there is photographic evidence of this).
Bill Murray is truly one of a kind and these stories are just the tip of the iceberg on how awesome the down-to-earth Hollywood star really is. The website billmurraystory.com is dedicated to sharing the amazing encounters that fans have with the 63-year-old former Ghostbuster and the current, "Coolest Celebrity Ever".
