20 Gorgeous Women That Swing Both Ways

via theapricity.com / via sizlingpeople.com

There’s something intriguing about women who don’t label themselves: being straight, gay or bisexual – who cares? Especially if they’re gorgeous women. For some it’s just for fun, or only a phase. Others claim they fall in love with a person, not a woman or a man. Recently, a lot of people have been talking about “gender fluidity”, which is a relatively new term, but not a new concept. The old Romans didn’t care about gender preferences, for example.

This list contains 20 pictures of actresses, models and singers who have hooked up with men and women, or have had long-term relationships with both of them. Some of them are married now, some are single. Others are married to a man but bring women home, now and then. But relationship status and sexuality have little to do with each other, as you’ll learn from some of these entries.

Just as a warm-up, some juicy quotes you’ll come across here:

“I want to explore. Never say never.”

“Eventually it’s going to wrinkle up and I’m not going to be able to use it. I wanted to be honest about who I am and see what happens.”

“I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age.”

Curious about who said what? Scroll down and enjoy!

20. Cara Delevingne

shutterstock_142531906

English model and actress Cara Delevingne is 23 years old and hot – in more than one sense of the word. She is not only a successful model and promising actress (to be seen in Paper Towns, and soon in Suicide Squad) she is also extremely popular on Instagram. She has torn down the walls that typically surround models, by sharing silly pictures and personal messages with her 28.6 million followers. And also … pictures of her girlfriend: Annie Clark, better known under her stage name St. Vincent.

Cara has been linked to celebrities like Harry Styles and Michelle Rodriguez, and she doesn’t mind talking openly about her personal life. As she told The Telegraph in 2014: I’m young, I’m having fun, I don’t want to pretend to be something I’m not. So I don’t really care on that matter. People can say what they want, but I’m having a good time. I know what people are doing who are my age; I just think it would be a lie to pretend that I’m not having a good time.”

19. Megan Fox

shutterstock_218166472

Megan Fox is probably the most gorgeous woman on this list. The 29-year old actress and model had her big breakthrough playing Shia LaBeouf’s love interest in Transformers. She supposedly hooked up with LaBeouf in 2008, while it was unclear whether she was still or again engaged to actor Brian Austin Green, whom she met while filming Hope & Faith in 2004 – he was 30 and she was 18 years old at the time. They have two sons together and got married in 2010, but in the summer of 2015 she filed for divorce.

Although Fox has never officially dated any women, she was in love with a female stripper when she was 18 years old and claims that she has “no question in [her] mind about being bisexual”. As she said in an interview with GQ Magazine in 2008: “I think that all humans are born with the ability to be attracted to both sexes.”

18. Anna Paquin

shutterstock_141957274

The 33-year old New Zealand actress Anna Paquin is best known for her role as Sookie Stackhouse in True Blood. In that vampire series she plays alongside Stephen Moyer whom she married in 2010. A couple of months before their wedding, she came out as bisexual in the LGBT equality campaign Give a Damn: “I’m Anna Paquin. I’m bisexual, and I give a damn.”

And apparently, that confused people. One of them was Larry King, 80-year old host of the TV show Larry King Now. He wanted to know if she was a “non-practicing bisexual”, implying that being married to a man made her straight, and that her bisexuality was a thing of the past. She did not agree:

“Well, I mean, I am married to my husband, and we are happy monogamously married. I don’t think [my bisexuality] is a past tense thing. Are you still straight if you are with somebody? If you were to break up with them or if they were to die, it doesn’t prevent your sexuality from existing. It doesn’t really work like that.”

17. Evan Rachel Wood

shutterstock_106254011

Evan Rachel Wood came to the big screen as Tracy Freeland, the rebellious teenager in Thirteen. More recently she has played parts in The Wrestler and The Ides of March. The beautiful 28-year old has dated equally gorgeous men such as Jamie Bell, Shane West and Alexander Skarsgård, and has had an on-off relationship with 47-year old rock star Marilyn Manson. Although she has never officially dated a woman (if we disregard the rumour about her and The L Word actress Katherine Moennig), she has never kept her sexuality a secret. She regularly tweets about being bisexual and is proud of it.

16. Michelle Rodriguez

shutterstock_335127794

Many men (and women) were in love with Ana Lucía Cortez in the television series Lost. Michelle Rodriguez played this ex police officer like a tough chick, which seems to be what she is often cast for: she kick-started her career with Girlfight, and then got parts in several Fast and the Furious films. The 37-year old Texan actress has dated both men and women, among which Vin Diesel, Colin Farrell, Cara Delevingne, Zac Efron and Kristanna Loken. She told magazine Latina in 2013 that she had gone both ways and explained why she decided to open up after years of keeping this information private: “Eventually it’s going to wrinkle up and I’m not going to be able to use it. I wanted to be honest about who I am and see what happens.”

15. Jessie J

shutterstock_131974505

“Do It Like a Dude” singer Jessie J is one of the few women in this list who actually got hate mail for coming out as straight. She claims she has dated only one woman, and that the question about her sexuality was asked at that time, at the beginning of her career. She answered the question honestly, and got labeled bisexual. A couple of years later however, she called dating women “a phase”, and claimed that now she only wanted to date men and find herself a husband. People accused her of having used her alleged bisexuality to boost her career. She replied angrily with a very very long tweet. Just a small snippet:

“The hate on my TL is uncalled for and ridiculous! I never lied about my sexuality, I never labelled myself, the media and some of the public did. I said almost 5 years ago now. I have dated girls and boys. Quote me! Which I had! Am I denying that…? No! I was young and I experimented! Who hasn’t? Not with just this topic, but anything! It’s part of life! No lies there. So happened I was becoming famous at the very same time and felt pressure to tell everyone all my business that really looking back was really no ones to know. I fell for a person who happened to be a girl. Every other relationship I’ve had has been with a man. My record label didn’t care and it wasn’t part of my launch!”

14. Kesha

shutterstock_350846669

29-year old American singer Kesha got famous in 2010 climbing out of a bathtub and brushing her teeth “with a bottle of Jack”. In the past years she has brought out some more hit songs such as Die Young, Your Love Is My Drug and Timber. As so many women in this list, she doesn’t like labels. She has dated both men and women, and that’s not all. She claims she has had sex with a ghost. She even wrote a song about it, titled Supernatural: “It’s about experiences with the supernatural… but in a sexy way. (…) I don’t know his name! He was a ghost! I’m very open to it.”

13. Drew Barrymore

shutterstock_106252994

From the little sister of the main character in E.T. to a Charlie’s Angel, actress Drew Barrymore has been melting a lot of hearts since she was 6 years old. And apparently, her own heart skips not only for men, but for women as well. In an interview in 2003 she said: “Do I like women sexually? Yeah, I do. Totally. I have always considered myself bisexual. A woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful. Being with a woman is like exploring your own body, but through someone else. When I was younger I used to go with lots of women. Totally. I love it.” Some believe that she’s had a relationship with actress Ellen Page in 2009. Since Ellen Page declared she’s gay, those rumours have been growing stronger, but they’re still just rumours.

12. Cameron Diaz

shutterstock_380976661

Californian actress Cameron Diaz has played major roles in Charlie’s Angels, There’s Something About Mary and Gangs of New York. She has had long-term relationships with only men, such as video producer Carlos de la Torre, actor Matt Dillon, actor/singer Jared Leto and singer/actor Justin Timberlake. She is currently married to Good Charlotte guitarist Benji Madden. But she believes that “all women have been sexually attracted to another woman at some point”. She also admitted that “she has been with a lady”, but left unclear who that woman might have been. Some people think it was Drew Barrymore, but Diaz said that the idea of hooking up with Barrymore made her “want to vomit in [her] mouth.” She added: “That’s like saying I am having sex with my sister. Are you crazy? I wouldn’t even menage with her!”

11. Christina Aguilera

shutterstock_166786784

Christina Aguilera started out as a child star in the Mickey Mouse Club in 1993, and, just like her co-stars Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, grew up to be a successful singer. She has released hit songs such as Genie in a Bottle, What a Girl Wants and Dirrty. She has only dated men and was married from 2002 to 2010, to singer-songwriter Jordan Bratman. Rumor has it that their marriage broke down because Bratman became jealous of Christina’s habit to bring home girls. But so far, the only public display of her preference for women we’ve seen, was her kissing Madonna on stage at the VMAs in 2003.

10. Gillian Anderson

shutterstock_274082021

If you ever watched TV in the nineties, then you know the series with the haunting opening theme and the beautiful FBI agent Dana Scully. The X-Files actress Gillian Anderson is not a bisexual by the book – she identifies as straight, but then she mentions she’s had relationships with women and says things like this:

“I am an actively heterosexual woman who celebrates however people want to express their sexuality.”

“To me a relationship is about loving another human being; their gender is irrelevant.”

And also: “It’s time for somebody to be brave enough to ask me out.”

So men and women out there: take your chances!

9. Amber Heard

shutterstock_197370773

Some might say that Amber Heard became famous by marrying Johnny Depp in 2015, but that is in fact not true. She had her breakthrough in 2008, with Never Back Down and Pineapple Express. Other big titles include The Rum Diary (where she met Depp), Magic Mike XXL and The Danish Girl. Before playing Johnny Depp’s love interest in The Rum Diary, she had relationships with both men and women. As she stated in a 2011 interview with Metro: “I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love; it’s the person that matters.”

8. Thandie Newton

shutterstock_180071951

You’ve seen this British actress in movies such as The Pursuit of Happyness, Mission Impossible II and Crash. Thandie Newton has three children with director and producer Ol Parker, with whom she has been married since 1998. But that doesn’t mean she’s not curious. In a 2008 interview with the U.S. based national gay and lesbian news magazine The Advocate, she talked about her experiments with women, and about her girl crushes. One quote from that conversation:

“I had my rite of passage. I was 16, and I wasn’t really in control of the situation, if you know what I mean. It was much more about a male fantasy of seeing two women together. But I loved the girl a lot; she was one of my closest friends. I think falling in love is actually more about falling in love with an individual. We’re all potentially bisexual. (…) I could’ve easily fallen in love with a woman over a man.”

7. Fergie

shutterstock_233349730

Stacy Fergalicious Ferguson is better known as Fergie, the female vocalist for the hip-hop group The Black Eyed Peas, who had huge hit songs like Where is the Love, I Gotta Feeling and The Time (Dirty Bit). The 41-year old singer, songwriter, fashion designer, television host and actress is married to American actor Josh Duhamel. But she has had fun with women in the past. In 2012 she told Oprah that she had never dated women, but has had her experiences, like a lot of women in college. She has never labeled herself, but if she’d have to: “I mean I guess I would call it bisexual or sexually open, free spirit… what have you.”

6. Maria Bello

shutterstock_70770991

Whatever: that’s the “label” Maria Bello gives herself. She even wrote a book about it: Whateve… Love Is Love: Questioning the Labels We Give Ourselves. The 48-year-old actress and beautiful mother of one son became famous through her parts as Dr. Anna Del Amico in the medical TV series E.R., and as the bar owner Lil in the 2000 film Coyote Ugly. In 2013, she wrote a column titled “Coming Out as a Modern Family”, about a conversation with her then 12-year-old son, in which she confesses she has a same-sex relationship with her partner and best friend, Clare Munn.

5. Angelina Jolie

Many men would love to be Brad Pitt, if only to be that close to Angelina Jolie. The 40-year old actress, filmmaker and humanitarian worker has been in the spotlight for countless reasons. For playing the lead parts in Lara Croft, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and Maleficent, for speaking up for refugee rights, and also … for allegedly being in an open relationship with her husband. It is rumoured that both are bisexual, and don’t mind the other taking members of the same sex home. Pitt has never openly spoken about his sexuality, but Jolie has. She had a relationship with model-actress Jenny Shimizu, after meeting her on the set of Foxfire (1996). Shimizu claimed in 2011 that the relationship lasted for years, even while Jolie was officially dating other people.

Whether they’re actually a bisexual couple or not, it is an interesting theory for how they manage to make their celebrity marriage work.

4. Lindsay Lohan

shutterstock_165842138

Lindsay Lohan started out as a 3-year-old child fashion model. Some of her biggest parts were in Freaky Friday, Mean Girls and Just My Luck. From 2008 until 2009 she dated DJ Samantha Ronson, but in a 2013 interview with Piers Morgan she said that her year and a half relationship with Ronson was just an experience and that it doesn’t make her bisexual or a lesbian. “I know I’m straight. I have made out with girls before, and I had a relationship with a girl. But I think I needed to experience that and I think I was looking for something different.”

3. Kristen Stewart

shutterstock_104919203

One of the most determined “non-labelers” would be Kristen Stewart. The Twilight actress of 25 was literally asked by the magazine NYLON, and she refused to label herself as straight, gay or bisexual.

From 2008 until 2012 she dated fellow Twilight star Robert Pattinson. After that, she allegedly had a relationship with her assistant Alicia Cargile. And now she is linked to French singer Soko, who – interesting fact – once had a blind date with Robert Pattinson. You might know Stephanie “Soko” Sokolinski from her hit single in 2007: I’ll Kill Her. Kristen Stewart has also starred in Snow White and the Huntsman and the Cannes selection Onderweg.

2. Miranda Kerr

shutterstock_154922960

Hooking up with a Victoria’s Secret Angel is something many people dream about – men and women. Good news for both of them: some of these gorgeous women actually play for both teams, such as Miranda Kerr. The Australian beauty used to be married to Orlando Bloom and has one son with him. After the couple separated in 2014, she stated she was going to explore her bi-curiosity: “I appreciate both men and women. I love the female body and truly appreciate the female form. I want to explore. Never say never.” Miranda Kerr is currently dating Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel.

1. Miley Cyrus

shutterstock_139924624

It’s hard to believe that the little pink Hannah Montana is the same person as the scantily dressed woman in Wrecking Ball – the 23-year old Disney Channel star sure has grown up. Miley Cyrus knows how to make the headlines, by twerking at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards, putting on outfits that stir a conversation, and by coming out as gender fluid. What that means for Cyrus? Well, it is indeed pretty fluid: “I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with. Yo, I’m down with any adult — anyone over the age of 18 who is down to love me.”

Oh and by the way… she has actually made out with a Victoria’s Secret: Angel Stella Maxwell.
