There have been many famous celebrity couples in the news for years. The press has even given them cute mash-up names.
Today, I will be talking about Brangelina. This cute mash-up is the Hollywood power couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. It has been over ten years since they went public with their relationship. They got together after she broke up Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's marriage. Brangelina's relationship blossomed after they worked together on the movie, Mr. And Mrs. Smith, in 2004. It was a spy action comedy about two assassins that are assigned to kill each other.
Pitt was still settling his divorce from Aniston, but Jolie had already gotten through her divorce from Billy Bob Thornton. In 2005, Brangelina kept a professional distance at a promotional event for the movie. The announcement of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston's separation came in January. She officially filed for divorce in March.
In January 2006, Jolie confirmed that she was pregnant with her first biological child with Brad Pitt. Her first child, Shiloh, was born in Namibia, Africa in July 2006. They did it to be in a place that their other children enjoyed. Since one of them is from Africa, Brangelina holds Africa as a special place in their hearts. Shiloh Jolie-Pitt made her press debut in People magazine in June 2006. The couple first walked the red carpet together at the premiere of Jolie's movie, The Good Shepherd. Their next child, Pax, was adopted from Vietnam in 2007. Jolie stayed home with him for a while after they got back, so the child could get used to his new environment.

The couple recently bought a huge French Quarter mansion in New Orleans. The city is famously portrayed in the movie Interview with the Vampire that starred Brad Pitt as the main character, Louis. The house is 150 years old. It is rumoured that Angelina stops in occasionally at neighborhood bars, especially right after Hurricane Katrina.
1 French Home
France holds a special place in Brangelina's hearts. Jolie's mother and grandmother were from France. They bought a 35 million pound château right before the twins were born. The property has a lake, a vineyard, swimming pool, forest, and 16th Century chapel all on premises. It is rumoured that they were going to get married there after the first bought the property. Brad calls her "insane" because of her ability to balance acting, writing, directing, mothering, and her numerous humanitarian works. He says it's because she wants to be of value to the world. She realizes that time is fleeting and she wants to do everything she can while she has this life.
