People love keeping up with celebrity relationships. We are fascinated with who is dating who at the moment and we jump at the mention of a scandalous Hollywood divorce. What's even more intriguing is when a seemingly straight celebrity indulges in a same-sex romance.

These celebrities are all currently in straight relationships and identify as straight, however, they have all had their fair share of experimentation in the past with the same sex.

Some of these celebrities tried to hide their new relationships, while others were proud to share a new stage in their lives.

Celebrities like Lindsay Lohan have famously and publicly dated women, but did you know that this sexual exploration dates back to the days of Marilyn Monroe?

Mick Jagger recently welcomed his eighth baby with his girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, but did you know that years prior he had been caught in bed with superstar David Bowie?

15 Madonna


Madonna has been rumored to have indulged in sexual relationships with women for years. Model Jenny Shimizu was known in the nineties for bragging about her bisexual relationship with Angelina Jolie, but she was also apparently involved with the Queen of Pop.

Shimizu told The Daily Mail that she basically acted as a top-secret booty call for Madonna for years, even while the superstar was in heavily publicized relationships with men.

Madonna was also whispered to have been romantically involved with a woman by the name of Ingrid Casares for many years. Madonna met Ingrid at her 1991 New Year's Eve party when she came as the girlfriend of lesbian comedian Sandra Bernhard. Madonna and Ingrid were said to have had a long-standing, close relationship afterward.

14 Anne Heche

Anne Heche was one of the first women to date Ellen DeGeneres after she came out of the closet in 1997. The pair were together for three years until they split in 2000.

In 2011, Anne was interviewed by The Telegraph and was asked if her relationship with DeGeneres had been her last same-sex romance, saying "Jeepers, yes! Yes! I mean, that's been way out there for years."

The relationship with DeGeneres and Heche allegedly ended because Ellen had suspected Anne of sleeping with another man. That man was said to be Coleman Laffoon, whom Heche then went on to marry from 2001-2009.

13 Drew Barrymore

Drew Barrymore has been married more than she would probably like to admit. She is currently undergoing her third divorce with husband Will Kopelman. Barrymore had previously been married to bar owner Jeremy Thomas in 1994 and in 2001 to comedian Tom Green.

However, between all of her boyfriends and husbands, Drew somehow also found some time to hook up with magazine editor Jane Pratt. Barrymore covered Pratt's Jane magazine in 1997, fueling rumors that there was a romantic relationship between the two.

Barrymore admits that her youth and young adulthood was quite turbulent, which may have contributed to the fact that she had lots of relationships with men and women.

However, years before Depp came along, Heard was involved in a romantic relationship with a woman by the name of Tasya van Ree. Ree was a photographer and the women were together for three years before her and Johnny got married.

Little Richard lived an interesting and extravagant life full of sex, drugs, alcohol and church sermons. In a 2010 interview, Little Richard revealed that he had a gay relationship in the 60s but he’s been with plenty of women as well.

Little Richard had even said that his father kicked him out of the house at 19 years old because he had suspected he was gay, saying "My daddy put me out of the house. He said he wanted seven boys, and that I had spoiled it, because I was gay."

Richard also admitted to tricking his wife and girlfriend into believing he was straight. His religion had caused him to feel immense guilt about his homosexuality.

Margaret Cho is an actress and comedian who has been married to a man named Al Ridenour since 2003 but often refers to herself as a queer, instead, saying "Of course, I’ve had relationships with women, but my politics are more queer than my lifestyle."

Margaret Cho has been very outspoken when it comes to voicing her opinion on important issues affecting the LGBT community. The Drop Dead Diva actress has also admitted to having an open relationship with her husband. Who knows, maybe this open relationship involves other women as well.

Prior to marrying Carey Hart, singer Pink was a wild child who set out to experiment and explore her sexuality.

Pink has publicly admitted to being involved with actress Kristanna Loken in a steamy romance after the pair had been caught on camera kissing.

Although their hookup was brief, Pink only has kind things to say about the blond bombshell, saying in an interview "People can say what they want, but I have good taste. I mean, look at her."

Apparently, while Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber were in the midst of their on-again-off-again relationship, Selena may have been hooking up with the openly bisexual model Cara Delevingne.

In 2014 the former Disney starlet told Price Source that she didn't mind the rumors, nor did she deny them, saying "Honestly, I loved it. I didn't mind it. Especially because they weren't talking about other people in my life for once, which was wonderful... Honestly, though, she's incredible and very open and she just makes me open. She's so fun and she's just extremely adventurous, and sometimes I just want that in my life, so I didn't mind it. I loved it."

She also admitted to questioning her sexuality throughout adulthood, saying "Oh, I think everybody does, no matter who they are. I do, yeah, of course. Absolutely. I think it's healthy to gain a perspective on who you are deep down, question yourself and challenge yourself; it's important to do that."

7 Gavin Rossdale

Up until last year, Gavin Rossdale was happily married to rocker Gwen Stefani until his infidelity led to their divorce.

However, it seems that in the '80s Gavin was much more sexually open, even admitting to his relationship with a cross-dressing performer named Marilyn (born Peter Robinson).

The story broke in 2009 and everyone wanted to know whether the rumors of Rossdale being romantically involved with another man were true. When talking about it, Rossdale said, "I've never wanted to appear closed about it, it's not something I've talked about really because it's always been in the glare of a tabloid world, it's just one of those things—move on."

Rossdale described his relationship as a learning experience for him, saying "When you're 17, Jesus Christ, I don't think there's anything strange about any form of anything—you're learning about life. It's a part of growing up—that's it, no more, no less…Yeah, [experimentation] was it—you have to know what you like, and I know what I like."

Perhaps now that his marriage is over with Stefani, Rossdale will go back to experimenting with his love life.

Demi has never come out as bisexual and has only been in public relationships with men. However, in a now-deleted Instagram post, Orange Is The New Black actress Ruby Rose claimed that she had hooked up with the former Disney Channel star, saying "I'm like the one person Demi has slept with that didn't sell naked photos of her, so eff off." Lovato never confirmed nor denied Rose's claims.

Previously, Lohan claimed that she didn't want to "classify" herself as gay, straight, or bisexual.

3 Marilyn Monroe

Hollywood starlet Marilyn Monroe was notorious for her many relationships with famous men like Arthur Miller, Joe DiMaggio, and President John F. Kennedy.

However, it has been reported that the actress also had a longstanding relationship with a woman named Natasha Lytess. Lytess was a failed actress-turned-drama-coach who became involved with Monroe in 1948.

The pair embarked on a quiet sexual relationship for four years until she met and married DiMaggio in 1952.

2 Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has been all over the news the past few weeks due to her highly publicized divorce from Brad Pitt. This marks the end of Jolie's third marriage.

What was described as a close friendship between the two singers, turned out to be much deeper than that. David Bowie's then-wife, Angie, made claims that she had found Jagger and Bowie in bed together in her home. She also alleged that the two men had been involved in a relationship for nearly a year at that point.

In a revealing book by author Christopher Andersen called Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger, it was said that Mick and David were sexually obsessed with one another.
