14 Katherine Heigl

“I am a laundry person, I love laundry, doing laundry, I also make my own laundry detergent. So I decided one day, I’m going to do all of his laundry before he goes on tour, and fold it beautifully and put it all in his travel case for him.” His reaction was disappointing. “I remember thinking, ‘I should just ask him what would make him really happy.’ Just recognize what your partner really needs from you, ask them and if you can do that, do that."

13 Kelly Ripa

"Don't get divorced after your first argument! I have a lot of friends that have one fight and that's it, they get divorced. I go, 'Wait a minute! Oh my gosh, you guys! Calm down! You'll forget in three days what you were fighting about. I promise. So just let it marinate a little bit—that's my best love advice."

12  12. Mario Lopez

"Treat a woman how you'd want someone to treat your mom."

On his second marriage to Courtney Mazza since 2012 with two children, we can only hope Mario Lopez treated his first wife, Ali Landry like his mother and maybe things just didn't work out. Either way, this is good advice to take to heart.

11 Jon Bon Jovi

"My wife tells me if I ever decide to leave, she's coming with me."

Married to his high school sweetheart, Dorothea Hurley since 1989, Jon Bon Jovi's marriage is still going as strong as his career. While this quote is humorous, it's probably equally true.

10 Paul Newman

"I have a steak at home. Why would I go out for a hamburger?"

9 Lady Gaga

"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore."

Certainly known more for her success as an entertainer than her love life, it's clear which love meant more to Lady Gaga. However, she has been dating actor Taylor Kinney since 2011, so perhaps one day, her love can chart just as good as her albums have.

8 Jennifer Lopez

“If you kiss on the first date and it's not right, then there will be no second date. Sometimes it's better to hold out and not kiss for a long time. I am a strong believer in kissing being very intimate, and the minute you kiss, the floodgates open for everything else.”

7 Jennifer Garner

“Never marry a man thinking you can change him, and I think that starts from your first date when you're in the seventh grade on. Women are fixers so we have to just not fix. Don’t fix.”

6 Gwyneth Paltrow

“Whatever you're doing, do the opposite. If you feel angry, go at him with love and you give him a b---job."

The infamously "consciously uncoupled" actress probably should have done the opposite with her soon to be former husband, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin. Although, he probably didn't refuse one from the beautiful actress either.

5 Russell Brand

"I think that the person you're having sex with must have an orgasm first, or you're not fulfilling your job as a man."

All men should follow Russell Brand's (aka the former Mr. Katy Perry) excellent sex advice. As a recovering sex (as well as drugs and alcohol) addict, he's probably had enough to know what he is talking about.

4 Michelle Obama

“Cute’s good. But cute only lasts for so long, and then it’s, ‘Who are you as a person?’ Don't look at the bankbook or the title. Look at the heart. Look at the soul. When you're dating a man, you should always feel good. You shouldn't be in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t make you completely happy and make you feel whole.”

Considering she has the sense to marry one of the most important future world leaders in 1992 and had two daughters with him, it's safe to say Michelle Obama knows what she is talking about.

3 Ice-T

"Passion makes the world go round. Love just makes it a safer place."

Married to the sexy model/actress Nicole "Coco" Austin for over thirteen years, Ice-T certainly has a lot of passion and love for his wife. Their reality show Ice Loves Coco, only ran for two seasons, but their love will probably last a lot longer.

2 John Lennon

"Everything is clearer when you're in love."

From the man who also said, "all you need is love," John Lennon, who was married to Yoko Ono from 1969 until his death in 1980, has certainly shown the world his expertise on the topic through music. Furthermore, Lennon's love for Yoko made it clear that he couldn't love both her and his band at the same time.

1 Marilyn Monroe

"I'm selfish, impatient, and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I'm out of control, and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."

Married three times, all Marilyn Monroe wanted was love and approval. Despite her many failed relationships, this famous quote is good advice and certainly applicable to any relationship. You have to take the good and the bad with everyone.
