With the use of computers and social media, it is incredibly easy to post something about someone without thinking it all the way through, first. With one click, the ideas that are in your head are now available for millions to see; forever.
Most of these feuds are with celebrities that have composed messages on Twitter regarding other famous people. Sometimes they are meant to be said, and the celebrities refuse to back down; but sometimes they were just composed in either a drunken stupor or during a moment that they simply did not think it through first. Then, there are other people on this list who have almost gotten into physical altercations with other celebrities. Most of these people have worked it out; while others either haven’t, or just have not come out publicly regarding the issue.
14 Bette Midler and Ariana Grande
The incredibly petite, Ariana Grande has been a popular singer for a few years now, with a large, high voice that has been compared to Mariah Carey. She has been seen in super-short skirts, overly-exposing her midriff and wearing as least amount of clothes as possible. She also has been rumored to being a diva; asking to only be photographed on one side (everyone has a good side, though, don’t they?), and allegedly making spiteful comments about fans. There are even speculations about her wanting to be carried onto the stage to perform when her feet are aching. Apparently, diva legend, Bette Midler has taken notice and commented on Ariana’s actions. According to reports, Bette made mention of Ariana and other current female singers, telling them that they don’t need to show skin to share their talents. Bette had said (regarding Ariana’s managers), "Maybe they tell them that’s what you’ve got to do. Sex sells. Sex has always sold."
Ariana was a little hurt by the comments made by the superstar, and “Tweeted a screenshot” regarding the remarks. The Tweet read, "Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement! Not sure where that Bette went but I want that sexy mermaid back!!! Always a fan no matter what my love." Bette Tweeted back, in a not-so-formal apology, telling Ariana that she had a beautiful voice. Seemingly the feud has been settled, and there are no bad feelings between the two.
13 Freddie Prinze Jr. and Kiefer Sutherland
During ComicCon 2014, Freddie Prinze, Jr. apparently unloaded the fact that he hated working with Kiefer Sutherland so much (on the television series, 24), that he almost quit acting completely because of Kiefer’s actions. According to reports, Freddie had to take his shoes off when he was around Kiefer, that way Freddie didn’t appear as tall (there is an almost six-inch height difference between the two). He even called Kiefer “the most unprofessional dude in the world." Apparently, Kiefer had no idea about the issues that Freddie had; and as reported by an ABC News representative: "Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than 5 years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances.”
12 Christian Bale and George Clooney
11 Russell Brand and Donald Trump
It is very unclear exactly what started this feud, but apparently Donald Trump had seen Russell Brand on a late night talk show, and was not impressed. So he did what any other multi-millionaire celebrity would do, and composed a Tweet about his disgust. He called Russell a “loser” and “a joke,” and had even asked him why Katy Perry had married him. Russell had Tweeted back a few times; once mentioning his hair, and there was something about an apology letter from Russell to Donald that was given to him at a restaurant, but neither had actually said what it was regarding or exactly what it said. This “online fight” didn't seem to last too long, and Donald decided to make a few remarks against the president, instead (on President Obama’s Twitter feed, of course). Sometimes instances like this make most of us think back and wonder how these celebrities have so much time to come up with these things, and why do they do it? Are they really that bored? Donald Trump, perhaps, has more of a sense of humor than we once thought.
10 Rosie O’Donnell and The View, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Mayim Bialik
It appears as though Rosie O’Donnell doesn't seem to be happy unless she is in some kind of feud with someone. Remember the Twitter-war with Donald Trump years ago? “You’re fat,” he said. “You’re an idiot,” She chimed back. Well, probably not in those exact words, but it was basically like an elementary school playground fight, but with computers. Now she is one of the co-hosts of the television show, The View and previous host, Elisabeth Hasselbeck doesn't appear too thrilled regarding that fact. The two have very different opinions on; well, basically everything, and they weren't afraid to let that be known to the entire world, on the air. Elisabeth is no longer a host on the view, but Rosie continues to share her “views” on the show.
Of the most idiotic feuds that Rosie has gotten herself into, the one with Mayim Bialik, has to take the cake. Rosie has proclaimed that the movie, Frozen, is her favorite movie of all time. It is a cartoon that Mayim Bialik had criticized, declaring that it encouraged “male-bashing,” among other things, and Rosie took a deep offense to her remarks. She spoke out against the Big Bang Theory actress, saying "Princes sometimes suck!" and even compared the movie to a Spongebob Squarepants cartoon.
9 Lady Gaga and Perez Hilton
Having been on stage in a suit made entirely out of raw meat, Lady Gaga doesn't appear to be the kind of person who would be easily offended. Apparently that wasn't the case when Perez Hilton had interviewed her while on tour. The (allegedly) drunk Lady Gaga was upset about being asked questions about previous boyfriends by Perez, and she walked away and put an immediate end to the interview. This upset her longstanding friend, causing him to think that being famous has gone to her head, and Perez wrote, “I think she has unfortunately become a victim of this character she created. Instead of being an artist she became this freak and this cartoon character and so unrelatable to people.” This had happened back in 2006, but apparently Perez Hilton wanted to bring up the past, and is now talking about it again on television shows. According to reports, she believes that he is stalking her via Tweets, and he thinks that she “used him.” It is unclear whether the friendship will ever be re-kindled.
8 LeAnn Rimes and Brandi Glanville
It’s no secret that women get upset when another woman comes into your husband’s life, especially while you are still married to him. That is what happened when Brandi Glanville was still married to her (then) husband, Eddie Cibrian. LeAnn Rimes came into the picture, and is now the step-mother of Brandi’s children. This happened several years ago, but the event was re-hashed when LeAnn had posted a Tweet on Mother’s Day (in 2014), stating that there should be a “step-mother’s” day. Brandi had been understandably upset when the affair first happened, and had reportedly said hurtful words about LeAnn back in 2010 (understandably so), but she did not comment on any of the “stepmom” comments made.
7 Alyssa Milano and Jay Mohr
Actress Alyssa Milano (who really doesn't look much different than she did when she played a witch on Charmed, almost twenty years ago), had a baby and was maybe ten pounds overweight when Jay Mohr thought he would attempt a joke regarding the weight gain via Twitter. He made fun of her “weight gain,” saying that she should have worn Spanx to cover herself, and it made Alyssa a little uncomfortable. He later apologized, but all of Alyssa’s Twitter followers did not find it funny and were most likely more upset than she was. Jay feels terrible about the comments he made, even saying that she doesn’t weigh any more than a three year old. She accepted his apology via Tweet, the most acceptable way to formally apologize in 2014.
6 Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin
The feud between divorced couple, Jon and Kate Gosselin, was ultimately old news; until Kate showed up at a yard sale in October. Kate apparently showed up with her hair long and was wearing very little makeup while trying to stay away from her ex-husband, Jon, and it generated a lot of publicity from the cameras filming nearby. Apparently, her previous co-star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is having a rough time; news is that he was evicted from his apartment and people are wondering if he is thinking of reconciling with Kate. The rivalry between the two will most likely never end, since they do have eight kids together and there will never be a time when they can be apart for long.
5 Justin Bieber and Seth Rogen, Drake Bell, Orlando Bloom
Justin Bieber doesn't seem to be making any friends as he gets more famous throughout the years. Seth Rogen had Tweeted about him, stating that he was not to be desired (the wording is completely inappropriate; so we’ll just leave it at that). Seth said in an interview, “He seems like he’s obnoxious and ungrateful, insincere, and he puts people’s lives at danger.” Justin replied back that he was nervous when meeting Seth and didn’t know what to say.
Justin has also been in feuds with Drake Bell (who wrote several unprompted mean tweets about Justin), and Orlando Bloom; who “threw a punch” at Justin. The reasons aren’t completely known, but according to sources, it may have something to do with Justin and Orlando’s ex-girlfriend, model Miranda Kerr.
4 Selena Gomez and Kendall Jenner
3 Iggy Azalea and Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Nicky Minaj, Azealia Banks
According to sources, many rappers are upset with Iggy Azalea for not saying anything in regards to the issues about African-Americans. They (allegedly) believe that by being silent, that she is against them all. Eminem had written a rap with the lyrics included about raping Iggy, and she composed a few Tweets regarding the music. During the AMA’s, Iggy won two awards, and during one of her speeches, she made mention of the fact that she had actually won against Eminem and his song; literally. According to the internet, Nicky Minaj and Azealia Banks have had problems with Iggy, as well.
2 Miley Cyrus and Essentially The Entire World of Pop Stars
1 Seth Rogen and Nancy Grace
New York had approved marijuana to be used for medical purpose in a few cases, and Nancy Grace decided to throw in her opinions on CNN and Twitter. She had made several comments and rude accusations while she was on television regarding recreational marijuana smokers, calling them “lethargic, and are just sitting on their couch eating chips.” In her interview with CNN, Nancy mentions that she doesn't want her babysitter at home with her kids smoking pot, cooking on the stove or lighting a fire, so she composed this Tweet in January, 2014: “I can hardly cook a pot of macaroni & cheese—so how did this mom allegedly help kill & dismember her hubby’s former lover?! #DismemberedMom.” There were at least three other pot-related Tweets within that week related to recreational marijuana use, and they apparently sent actor Seth Rogen over the edge when he saw them. Seth sent Nancy a Tweet, calling her a “f***ing dumbass,” and she politely sent one back saying, “Thanks for watching.” Then he re-Tweeted his originally comment. She didn't appear too shaken up by the fact that he called her out on her idiotic remarks on the social site. It is unclear if they have reconciled, or if it even matters, anymore.
