11 Celebs Who Hate Each Other For The Dumbest Reasons

Hollywood is a town built on drama both on and off the small and big screen. And, as it turns out, in real life too. We've all heard about those co-stars who loathe each other and we've seen the public spats between stars constantly being played out on social media. Certainly, social media tends to exacerbate celebrity feuds.

Whether it's a fight over a girl (Drake and Chris Brown), or losing out on a role, there's something about Tinseltown that emulates a child playground - except everyone in this playground is rich and famous. Hell, even Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, the co-stars of The Notebook, who dated for three years, feuded big-time on set. They made up in the best possible way, so they're not on this list.

It seems if Hollywood needed a third moniker, it would be D-R-A-M-A. And with what seems like 24 hour coverage of their every move, everything celebs do - whether good or bad - seems to be captured for us regular folk. When it comes to feuds, they're as entertaining as reality TV.

Here's some of the biggest star feuds, which in the normal world, wouldn't have escalated to gigantic proportions.

11 Russell Crowe and George Clooney - Quip About Ads

George Clooney is undoubtedly Hollywood's favorite leading man and someone who is revered and respected among his peers. Russell Crowe, on the other hand, not so much.

And there is a reason he's not exactly welcomed with open, gushing arms by Hollywood's elite. Back in 2005, he gave an interview to GQ where he basically threw a slew of leading men under the bus.

Crowe proclaimed: "I don’t use my ‘celebrity’ to make a living. I don’t do ads for suits in Spain like George Clooney, or cigarettes in Japan like Harrison Ford … To me it’s kind of sacrilegious — it’s a complete contradiction of the f*cking social contract you have with your audience. I mean, Robert De Niro’s advertising American Express."

Though Crowe apologized, Clooney didn't back down, reportedly saying: "Dude, the only people who succeed when two famous people are fighting is People magazine. What the f*ck is wrong with you?"

10 Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow - Feud Over A Personal Trainer

In the mid-2000's Madonna and Gwyneth were joined at the hip. The pair were almost inseparable, living in the U.K., gossiping over lunch, attending fashion shows, gushed over each other every chance they got, and worked out together. Then in 2009, something happened.

Though no one has ever really got to the bottom of why these two BFF's turned into frenemies, rumor has it that Madonna fired their shared personal trainer, Tracy Anderson, then told Gwyneth she should, too. According to, when Gwyneth refused, Madonna ended their friendship (it should be noted that Gwyneth and Anderson are still very much together). reported that in 2011, "Paltrow alluded to the feud on her blog Goop when she wrote about an 'insufferable' friend who left her feeling 'drained, empty and belittled.'"

And in 2013, Madge snubbed Gwynnie at the Met gala.

9 Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey - Battle Over Egos

Things did not turn out so well when Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey teamed up for American Idol in 2013 - and perhaps the producers knew that these two were never going to get along from the outset.

With two large egos in one room, things got out of hand - and quick.

According to, Minaj called Carey a "bitter, insecure woman" and the pair fought during an audition round where Minaj was filmed screaming at the crew. She reportedly said "I told them, I’m not f*cking putting up with her f*cking highness over there."

Carey wasn't taking it laying down and mocked Minaj for never hitting the number 1 spot and quipped she was "working in Hell with Satan."

8 Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes - Fight Over Jail Time

Both Lindsay Lohan and Amanda Bynes are no stranger to drama - or trouble.

In recent years, these former child stars have garnered more column inches for their brushes with the law, than their roles on the big screen. You would think with so much in common, these two might form some sort of train-wreck bond?

Oh, no.

According to, they loathe each other. Apparently, Lindsay was so irritated that she faced jail time for her misdemeanors while Bynes got away scott-free that the Parent Trap actress tweeted about the injustice saying: "Why did I get put in jail and a Nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?"

Oh, snap.

7 Amber Rose and Kylie Jenner - Beef Over Blac Chyna

It all began when Amber Rose called out Tyga for leaving Blac Chyna and dating Kylie Jenner.

In a radio interview, she said about Kylie, "She's a baby. She needs to go to bed at 7 o'clock. That's ridiculous. He should be ashamed of himself."

That one comment escalated into a full-blown catfight. Amber went on to call Kylie's sister Kim Kardashian "fake," and said "she has potential to be really dope, but to me she's not." Khloe weighed in and so too, did Rose's ex Kanye West, who fired one hurl of an insult when he said he had to take "like 30 showers" after being with Amber before he could get with Kim. Ouch.

This year, Rose admitted that the fight with the Kardashians "shouldn't have gone that far."

6 Taylor Swift and Katy Perry - Stealing Dancers

It currently still is the hottest feud on the planet. But how did Taylor Swift and Katy Perry go from gushing about each other on Twitter and making a surprised duet at the Staples Center in L.A. to thoroughly hating each other?

Their friendship blossomed in 2008, but things turned sour around 2012-2013, which is around the time Katy started dating John Mayer - Taylor's ex.

From there it turned into one hell of a fight, with Katy stealing Taylor's dancers, who were essentially hired out from under Taylor's nose.

Then, Taylor famously responded with her single "Bad Blood" and revealed in Rolling Stone the inspiration for that song.

"For years, I was never sure if we were friends or not," she said. "She would come up to me at award shows and say something and walk away, and I would think, 'Are we friends, or did she just give me the harshest insult of my life?' [Then last year] she did something so horrible. I was like, 'Oh, we're just straight-up enemies.' And it wasn't even about a guy! It had to do with business. She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me. And I'm surprisingly non-confrontational — you would not believe how much I hate conflict. So now I have to avoid her. It's awkward, and I don't like it."

Katy went on to compare Swift to the character of Regina George from the movie Mean Girls. And this show-stealing rift shows no signs of having a happy ending anytime soon.

5 Christina Aguilera and Kelly Osbourne - Battle Over Weight

This is one meaty feud that is showing no signs of abating.

It all began when Kelly mocked Aguilera's Christmas CD on The Osbournes. The singer then exacted her revenge on the reality star, taunting her at the 2003 MTV movie awards.

Fast forward to 2011 and it was still going on. In an episode of the Fashion Police, Kelly seemed to relish the fact that Aguilera had gained weight.

Kelly ranted: "Maybe she's [Christina] just becoming the fat b*tch she was always born to be. I don't know. She was a c*** to me. She called me fat for so many f**king years, so you know what? F**k you, you're fat too!"

4 Justin Bieber and Orlando Bloom - Fight Over A Girl

This was one of the best stories that has emerged from Spanish party capital, Ibiza, in like, ever.

In July 2014, news broke that a fight erupted on the island between Bieber and Bloom. Bloom reportedly took a swing at the singer over the actor’s ex-wife Miranda Kerr (it was long rumored that Biebs and the model struck up a close friendship while she was still married to Bloom).

According to reports at the time, Biebs allegedly yelled: “What’s up, b*tch?” That didn't go down so well and Bloom went for the swing, much to the delight of the crowd at the upscale Cipriani , who apparently applauded Bloom's bold move. But the Biebs wasn't done - he posted a picture of Kerr in a bikini on his Instagram page shortly after the fight and then deleted it. He then added another image of Orlando crying.

3 Chelsea Handler and Angelina Jolie - Protecting Her Best Friend's Honor

You wouldn't want to mess with Chelsea Handler because she's not one to mince her words.

Case in point: she started a feud against Angelina Jolie calling her everything imaginable.

“She seems like a demon,” she explained on Watch What Happens Live.

Even though she insisted it had nothing to do with her being best pals with Jennifer Aniston, Brad Pitt's ex, it obviously was what ignited the vitriol. “It has nothing to do with Jennifer," Handler stated. "As a woman, I know when you see somebody walking across the room that’s a bad girl. I just don’t like Angelina Jolie. I don’t think she’s a girl’s girl. I like girl’s girls.”

Jolie, for her part, never responded.

2 Drake and Chris Brown - Fight for Rihanna

When there comes to a public falling out between two rappers in current times, it really doesn't get much better than this.

Brown and Drake have brawled it out big style, trashing each other in songs, fighting in nightclubs and everything finally culminated in an infamous brawl at New York City’s W.I.P in 2012 when Brown sent a bottle of champagne over to Drake's table, according to Huffington Post. The news outlet reported the rapper and his party reportedly then came over and sparked an argument before Drake punched Brown in the face and threw the bottle at him. Not only were there several injuries, the bar itself ended up trashed.

The reason behind all of the fracas? Rihanna.

The pair managed to put their differences aside in 2014, given they were pictured in the studio together.

1 Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis - Jealousy Over Who Made More

They have both carved out careers as action men so you would think that Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Willis would get along? Try not at all.

Having both appeared in the Expendables movies, a feud broke out between the pair when Willis, after appearing in the first two flicks of the franchise, demanded $4 million for four days on set for The Expendables 3. Sly came out swinging.

"Greedy and lazy...A Formula For Sure Career Failure," Stallone tweeted.

Sly's rep at the time confirmed the tweet was about Willis. Though Willis never ended up appearing in the third installment, the pair did bury the hatchet.

Stallone tweeted: "Made up with Bruce W. A stand up guy, my mistake...."
