Relationships are a complicated and hopefully beautiful thing, regardless of your preference. Of course, there are unique challenges that are specific to heterosexual or homosexual relationships. Not to mention there are some people who tend to prefer both types of relationships, at least at some point in their lives.
There are several theories surrounding why people choose to be in a partnership with someone of the opposite sex, as opposed to someone of the same sex, and vice versa. Both celebrities and regular people are fascinated with this, and the intrigue likely won't stop anytime soon. Perhaps the curiosity about straight people who engage in gay relationships stems from a host of thought-provoking questions. For instance, if you have a gay relationship once, does that mean you're actually gay? If you consider having a heterosexual relationship after being in a gay partnership for years, are you now straight?
Of course, there are several answers to these questions, and the theories behind them are just as varied. However, that doesn't stop the public from gasping in awe when they hear their favorite straight celebrities once had a homosexual romance. Some of the results are likely to surprise you. Here are 10 straight celebrities you probably didn't know had gay relationships.
10 Amber Heard

She states that women are beautiful and she's had a lot of fun with women and isn't ashamed of it. Unfortunately, there was a time when Duhamel was allegedly having a little too much fun with women at the beginning of his marriage with Fergie. Before joining the Black Eyed Peas, Fergie was in the singing group Wild Orchid, and was a child actor on the show Kids Incorporated. She also had a solo album, The Dutchess in 2006, and three of her Billboard 100 Top Five singles went to number one.

7 Gavin Rossdale
Gavin Rossdale, lead singer of the rock band Bush, had a gay relationship in his teens. He's been married to singer, fashion designer and former The Voice coach Gwen Stefani since 2002, and the couple have three sons together. Gavin Rossdale had a relationship with Peter Robinson, a British singer who goes by the name Marilyn. Initially, Gavin denied having any type of romantic ties with Robinson. Later, he stated that his experience with Marilyn was "part of growing up." Quite an intriguing rite of passage. Stefani hasn't been without her relationship drama, either. She dated her No Doubt band mate for over a decade, but the two both went on to marry other people. Apparently, Rossdale and Stefani make beautiful music together, so there may not be any reason to keep bringing up the past.

However, she doesn't want to divorce Ridenour, because she still loves him.

Coleman was working as a cameraman on one of DeGeneres' comedy tours. Laffoon and Heche were married from 2001 to 2009, and have one child. Laffoon filed for divorce in 2007, and the divorce and custody battle lasted for two years.
