So, I'm sure we all know who Madonna is, but I'm going to give a little bit of background on her here. She was born Madonna Louise Ciccone in 1958. She began as a solo pop singer in 1981. By the 90s, she had over 21 Top 10 hits in the U.S. She grew up in a very religious household. She describes her mother as a "religious zealot." She also said there were lots of priests and nuns visiting the house in her childhood. Unfortunately, she lost her mother to breast cancer at the age of 5.
In 1976 she won a full scholarship to the dance program at the University of Michigan. The next year she won a 6-week scholarship to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in New York City. At her instructor's suggestion, she dropped out of school that year and moved to New York City to pursue her dance career. She held many odd jobs to survive including working as a nude art model. The aspiring performer served tea at the Russian Tea room, and she performed at the New York Dance Center. In 1979, she went with a boyfriend to France and worked as a showgirl there for a little while. She fell in love with the combination of dancing and singing.
In 1981, Madonna hired manager Camille Barbone of Gotham Records to start her singing career. Her friend Stephen Bray wrote her first hit, "Everybody." She recorded it with New York music producer Mark Karmins. The song rose to the top of the dance music charts in 1982. And her career took off from there. But now it seems to be going downhill.
If you keep up with the news, you know Madonna has been acting out of character during her concerts. Some say she is just trying too hard to stay young, while others have compassion for her regarding her struggle with her son and ex husband Guy Ritchie. The whole thing is just a mess and she's certainly portraying it in public. Regardless, anyone in their right mindset knows it's time for Madonna to go and retire. It's over. Check out the following to see why Madonna just needs to let it go and close this chapter of her life.

1 The Rumor Is Already Spreading
According to the Adobo Chronicles, she is set to retire in August of this year on her 57th birthday. She said she wants to "retire with grace," and she doesn't think she has the same staying power as Cher who is 68 years old. For once, she's on to something. She has already fallen from grace. She is assaulting teenagers and paying for "blessed" water. She has even appointed Kanye West as the new "black Madonna." It almost seems like an insult to Kanye. Also, the "black Madonna" thing may offend some people. She's just another has-been that needs to give it up. I'm sure she's not hurting for money.
