is one of those celebrities who seems to have a problem with just about everyone. His Twitter feed is famous for calling out other celebrities and he always seems to have that look that says, “I know I’m better than you”. We all know that nobody loves Kanye more than Kanye himself, but the artist seems to enjoy playing up his importance while putting down other people. Who could forget the image of Kanye West jumping up on stage to snatch the microphone out of Taylor Swift’s hand in order to let the audience know that he thought
e deserved the award. Kanye has had other famous feuds with people like Justin Timberlake, to the creator of YouTube. Some of these feuds have ended with an apology from one or both sides, while others continue to rage on. So for your entertainment, below is a list of ten of Kanye West’s biggest feuds.
. Kanye said, “I got into this giant argument with the head of Zappos that he’s trying to tell me what I need to focus on. Meanwhile he sells all this sh*t product to everybody, his whole thing is based off of selling shi*t product.” Zappos didn’t let Kanye off the hook, and responded by placing an ad for a toilet and a plunger on their website and calling it, sh*t product.
9. Jimmy Kimmel
Apparently Kanye West doesn’t take too well to people poking fun at him. After Jimmy Kimmel did a spoof of one of Kanye’s interviews, the rapper fired back and started a pretty hilarious twitter feud. West started out by saying, “JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO TRY AND SPOOF IN ANY WAY THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS,” later Kanye added, “JIMMY KIMMEL PUT YOURSELD IN MY SHOES…OH NO THAT MEANS YOU WOULD HAVE GOTTEN TOO MUCH GOOD P***Y IN YOUR LIFE…” Eventually, Josh Groban stepped in to try and mend the friendship, but it seems as if it was too late.
8. Chad Hurley (The Creator of Youtube)
After co-founder and former Chief Executive of Youtube, Chad Hurley uploaded a video of Kanye’s romantic marriage proposal to Kim Kardashian, Kanye was absolutely furious. The pair sued Hurley, saying that he wasn’t invited to film the proposal and that he uploaded the video without the pair’s consent, while they were trying to sell the tape to Kim’s reality show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians. We are not surprised that the couple was angry that they couldn’t make money off of this event. The results of this lawsuit are still pending.
7. Louis Vuitton
The story goes that Kanye West wanted to meet with Louis Vuitton, and the head of the company said they didn’t know why it was necessary to meet in person, and then Kanye, as he always seems to do so well, got pissed. During an interview on NOW radio, Kanye went off saying that the head of Louis Vuitton doesn’t know what kind of power he has. Kanye said, “Influence. They think that I don’t realize my power.” Eventually, West even called for his fans to stop purchasing Louis Vuitton because of the incident. We wonder how many costumers Louis Vuitton lost because of the statement.
6. Taylor Swift
Kanye West provided us with one of the most infamous moments in the history of the VMA’s. It’s hard to forget the moment when Taylor Swift was accepting her VMA award when the microphone was rudely snatched from her hand by Kanye West to say, “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyonce has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!” Kanye later apologized for his actions and Swift even wrote a song about the unfortunate incident. So we’re thinking everything is forgiven. Or is it?
5. South Park
After South Park aired an episode portraying Kanye as a man who wants to live as a gay fish, people thought Kanye would go off on social media. Kanye blowing up after someone makes fun of him, has kind of been his thing. However, after the episode aired, something amazing happened. Kanye was calm. The rapper responded to the episode by saying, “South Park murdered me last night, and it’s pretty funny. It hurts my feelings, but what can you expect from South Park? I actually have been working on my ego.” It looks like Kanye might be turning over a new leaf.
4. Evel Knievel
After Kanye West used Evel Knievel’s image in his song, “Touch the Sky,” Knievel was not too happy about it. Knievel ended up filing a lawsuit against Kanye for infringement on the daredevil’s trademark. Knievel said, “That video that Kanye West put out is the most worthless piece of crap I’ve ever seen in my life, and he uses my image to catapult himself into the public.” It seems as though Kanye should realize that he shouldn’t do onto others, what he doesn’t want others to do to him. Eventually the two managed to come to terms and settle the lawsuit.
The feud between Jay-Z and Kanye may just be a case of the media making drama where there actually is none. However, there were some incidents to indicate that the two rappers were once at odds with each other. It was reported that Jay-Z didn’t congratulate Kanye on his wedding day, and he made fun of one of his songs. On the other hand, Kanye removed Jay-Z’s name from a couple of songs that the pair worked on together. However, the two maintain that they have nothing but respect for one another.
2. Justin Timberlake
After Justin Timberlake released his single “Suit & Tie,” things got a little heated between Kanye and JT. It was reported that first, Kanye commented, “Man, I got love for Hov, but I ain’t f***ing with that Suit & Tie.” JT responded by adding this lyric to his song, “My hits so sick/Got rappers acting dramatic.” After the incident, the pair managed to bury the hatchet after apparently having an hour long sit down at the VMA’s. We find it somehow hard to believe that Kanye was able to sit through a whole hour talking about something other than himself.
Kanye West once had a partnership with Nike to release his own creation of shoes, Yeezy sneakers. However, after Kanye learned that Eminem and Pharrell were also designing shoes, he apparently got a little upset and demanded royalties. When Nike answered and refused the request, saying that they only offer royalties to professional athletes, Kanye said, “Everyone at Nike, everyone at Nike, Mark Parker just let go of culture.” Eventually, Kanye decided to end his partnership with Nike and work with one of Nike’s competition, and signed on with Adidas instead.
