'Celebrity' doesn't always have positive connotations - indeed, the term is often associated with negative notions like extravagance, immorality and general bad behaviour. This is, of course, down to the shocking comportment of a few high profile celebrities, combined with the media’s fascination with publicising their wrongdoings. Many celebrities, in a whirlwind of fame and money, seem to lose sight of their public image and act out. It's evident that many celebrities believe they're above the law, or at least feel entitled to special treatment.
Katherine Heigl is a prime example. After her success on the TV series Grey’s Anatomy, Heigl was pretty much set up for a successful career in showbiz. However, Heigl’s name became notorious amongst directors and producers because of her demanding attitude. Heigl’s behaviour on set is said to be deplorable - there are numerous complaints regarding Heigl’s foul mouthedness, mood swings and spoilt nature. Some reports even claim she would refuse to come out of her trailer due to petty wardrobe issues. Of course, other celebrities are known for their bad behaviour off the set: From sex tape scandals to drunk driving charges, from drug abuse to domestic violence allegations, there are many celebrities whose reputations are far from aspirational.
Don't let these badly behaved celebrities colour your views of celebrity culture. though. There are, in fact, quite a few extremely well-behaved celebrities who haven't put a toe out of line for the majority of their careers. Unfortunately, these celebrities often lose out on the limelight due to their badly behaved counterparts stealing the column inches. We're giving the goodies a chance to shine in this look at the ten best behaved celebs in the world - living proof that being a celebrity doesn't turn you into a reckless attention seeker.
