Kris Auctions Kim's Engagement Ring for $749 000

Kris Humphries scored a basket of $749,000 bucks for selling his diamond engagement ring that belonged to ex-wife Kim Kardashian in an auction sale at Christie’s.

The Lorraine Schwartz 16.2-carat emerald cut ring with 1.8-carat trapeze-cut diamonds was valued at $2 million during their engagement that was witnessed by the world aired on Kim’s reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians on March 2011.

Unfortunately for Humphries, Christie’s valued the ring between $300,000 and $500,000. It was sold at Christie’s by an anonymous “gentleman” but was later on identified as Kris. The former Net player put the ring in an auction after their divorce had been finalized.

Kris and Kim divorced 72 days after they married at a wedding that was worth $10 million last August 2011 and was aired in a two-part special titled Kim's Fairytale Wedding: A Kardashian EventKris accused Kim of fraud and just using their wedding to boost the rating of her reality show.

“Kris is not losing money on the ring,” said lawyer Lee Hutton. "It was something that was a part of the divorce, the dissolution agreement. Kris is pleased with the outcome of the sale and the fact he can give a portion of the proceeds to a deserving charity. He’s in the process of selecting the charity now."
