Did These 9 Celebs Marry For Money?

Love is a complicated game, and when it comes to Hollyweird, that game gets even more difficult and convoluted. When celebs enter into relationships, there are so many unique facets that come into play: money, image, career, conflicting schedules, compatibility and the list just goes on and on. It’s no secret that in Hollywood, some relationships are more or less business arrangements. Yes, there might be some love and affection involved, but people get into strategic relationships that might enhance their popularity, image and boost their career. Philadelphia rapper Eve has enjoyed a lot of success in the rap industry. From her days as the lead female rapper in the Ruff Ryder crew, to having her own sitcom and a popular fashion brand for a while called Fetish. However these days, there is a new school of female rappers on the scene (Iggy Azalea, Nicki Minaj) and Eve is not even mentioned at all. But no worries, she made a very smart move in 2010 by dating millionaire British Entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper (of Gumball 3000 fame). The two were engaged in December of 2013, and they were officially married in June of this year. So it doesn’t really matter whether she is making moves in music or not, money is no problem at all!

7 Amber Rose

For being a former stripper, Amber Rose has done really well for herself. Originally from South Philly, she started stripping for money at the young age of 15. Even then, she knew how much her attractive looks could earn her. She dated Kanye West from 2008 to 2010, and after they broke up, she began dating rapper Wiz Khalifa in 2011. The relationship moved fast and they got engaged in 2012 and married in July 2013. For a while, it looked like Wiz and Amber had the perfect relationship and their son Sebastian was born in February last year. However, it was all too good to be true, and Amber Rose filed for divorce in September citing irreconcilable differences. Reports are now surfacing that their split was due to Wiz’s infidelity and Amber Rose is expected to receive over a million dollars under their prenup deal. When all the dust settles, Ms. Rose will be living just fine.

2 Jeremiah Brent

If you were a serious watcher of the Rachel Zoe show, then you are probably aware of her handsome young assistant named Jeremiah. On the show, he was trying so hard to find a place for himself in Rachel’s company. The problem was that his area of expertise was home décor and interior design, and Zoe’s company was mainly entrenched in the fashion world. But he doesn’t need to worry about struggling in his career anymore – he married designer and American Dream Builder host, Nate Berkus (who has a net worth of about $6 million). The two got married this past May and they recently announced that they have a baby on the way. We wish these two handsome gents the best of luck with their new family.

1 Kim Kardashian

Okay, we know Kim Kardashian really doesn’t need anyone else’s money, because she is definitely a very wealthy woman in her own standing. However, the argument can be made that her marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries in 2011 was one elaborate publicity and money-earning operation. The wedding itself lasted only 72 days, but she apparently made a whopping $20 million from endorsement deals and TV airing rights. Say whatever you want about Kim, but she’s definitely one money-savvy lady!
