10 Celeb Couples We Thought Would Have Broken Up By Now

via:realitytvmagazine.sheknows.com

Hollywood is the kind of place where relationships have a very difficult chance of lasting longer than a couple of months (or even a couple of weeks). Two people might meet on the set of a movie, develop a quick connection, date for a couple of weeks, and then that’s it; it’s over before you know it. Short and sweet, and then it’s on to the next one. Especially in the current age of social media, the masses can get wind of a new “hot” relationship, and then by the time the next news cycle comes around, that relationship is already old news and discarded into the trash. In the following article, we take a look at 10 couples that have lasted  longer than most people expected. It just goes to show, that yes, even in Hollywood, there are some exceptions to the rule.

10. Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green

We know we’re not alone in thinking this, because let’s face it, when it comes down to it, Megan Fox is several notches above Brian Austin Green on the hotness scale. Also the truth is, some might consider Austin Green to be a has-been, while it seems that Fox’s career is constantly on the upswing. But no matter what anyone thinks, this couple has been together since 2004, they got married in 2010, and they even have two kids together.  It’s worth adding too that Austin Green is more than 10 years older than his beautiful spouse. But in the end, all of that doesn’t matter. These two look like they are very happy together and we wish them many more years of happiness in the future.

9. Khloe Kardashian and French Montana

This is one relationship that we thought was going to last for just a month or two, but it seems that it has more legs than we thought. The thing about this relationship is that it started as a rebound romance after Khloe broke things off with her husband Lamar Odom. Secondly, French Montana is the epitome of a “bad boy rapper.” He raps about the street life, drugs and fast money – not typically things that the Kardashians know about. But it seems the Kardashian girls have a thing for dating bad boys, and even though it was rumored that they had split up, recent insider reports say they are still very much an item. We will find out whether this is still the case at the end of 2015.

8. Sean Combs and Cassie

In the realm of rap royalty, there is a handful of couples that occupy the top tier. Jay-Z and Beyoncé definitely take up the top spot, probably followed Kim and Kanye and somewhere in the top 5, you would have to place Diddy and Cassie. With regards to Puffy’s relationship, the main reason people thought it wouldn’t last was the wide stretch of years between them. Puffy is 45 now and she is 28. When Cassie first met Diddy, she was the official girlfriend of producer /entertainer Ryan Leslie. So it looks like Puffy stole her to begin with. However all that’s in the past, and almost 8 years later, the two are still very much together.

7. Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney

It’s a fair assessment to state that Lady Gaga has been one of the biggest global pop stars of the last decade. She is an eccentric, fearless and an extremely talented performer and one can only imagine that it would be a trying situation keeping up with her in a relationship. But props to her, she has been going out with the handsome actor Taylor Kinney (Chicago Fire, Chicago PD) for the last 4 years, and the two recently got engaged earlier this year. When they first became a couple, no one was sure how things would turn out, but they are still going strong to this day.

6. Oprah and Stedman Graham

It must be extremely tough to be the significant other of the media phenomenon and global icon that is Oprah. She’s a well-loved and an extremely popular billionaire, it almost feels like the clouds should part and birds should sing choruses every time her name is mentioned. She’s been together with her partner Stedman Graham since 1986 and almost 30 years later, they are still together. In 1992, they actually planned to get married, but they decided that they would remain “spiritual partners” instead. Kudos to both of them for keeping it together under such a glaring media spotlight.

5. Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick

This is one Hollywood couple that we’re betting most people didn’t think would stand the test of time. Sarah Jessica Parker comes off like a more outgoing, independent and dominant type and Matthew Broderick looks to be the exact opposite. He’s pretty nerdy, a little basic and quite meek and timid. But even with these differences in their character traits, these two have been married since 1997 and they have 3 kids together. Whatever it is, they have a magic and alchemy that has made it work all these years. More power to them.

4. Wilmer Valderrama and Demi Lovato

The reason why this union didn’t seem that it had much of a future is that Wilmer Valderrama is one of the most notorious players in Hollywood. His dating history in the last 15 years includes a slew of celeb starlets: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Mandy Moore, Lindsay Lohan, Avril Lavigne and Ashlee Simpson. He’s 35 now and he has been going out with the 22-yr-old Demi Lovato for the last four years. In the past Lovato has dated popular names like Joe Jonas and Miley Cyrus’ brother, but it looks like these two might have something special going. Time will tell.

3. Sean Penn and Charlize Theron

Sean Penn is undoubtedly one of the most talented actors of his generation, and he’s not one of the easiest dudes to get along with either. He is very particular about his lifestyle, but no matter what anyone says, he deserves a lot of respect for his charitable efforts in Haiti (and all over the world). In early 2014, Sean Penn started dating the stunning South African actress Charlize Theron. At first glance, the couple looked like quite the anomaly, but a year later, it seems they are still enjoying each other’s company and going very steady.

2. Amber Heard and Johnny Depp

We all know Johnny Depp to be a little bit of a playboy and someone who walks to the beat of his own drum in Hollywood. However when he got engaged to the lovely Amber Heard in December of 2013, most people didn’t think that this was going to be a relationship that was going anywhere, but they have certainly defied the odds. Earlier this year, the coupe got married in a private ceremony in front of a handful of close friends and loved ones. According to reports, Depp really loves her because she’s a free spirit and an open-minded thinker. That seems exactly like the kind of girl Depp would fall head over heels for.

1. Ben Foster and Robin Wright

If there was ever a poll taken for the hottest women above 45 in Hollywood, the top slot might very well go to the extremely attractive and very classy Robin Wright. She is of course known for being the former wife of Sean Penn and lately her star has completely risen by starring as the first lady Claire Underwood in the hit show House of Cards. After she got divorced from Sean Penn, she started dating the young actor Ben Foster in 2012. She is 14 years older than Foster and for a minute, it seemed that the acting couple broke up in 2014. But it looks like they were able to patch things up, and the May-December couple is going strong yet again. Hey who knows, these two might actually make it for many more years.
