Fact; all of Tom Cruise's three marriages ended when his ex-wives were 33 years old.
Mimi Rogers was Tom Cruise's first wife. Mimi was seven years senior than Tom who was only 24 then when they got married on May 1987. Rogers introduced Cruise to the Scientology Church on which in a way is rumored to be the cause of their divorce. Rogers quoted " Tom was seriously thinking of becoming a monk," she "joked" to Playboy in 1993. "At least for that period of time, it looked as though marriage wouldn't fit into his overall spiritual need. And he thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument. Therefore it became obvious we had to split."
Nicole Kidman was Cruise's second wife. She was 23 when she married Cruise who was 28 on December 1990. They separated in 2001 when Kidman was 33. The cause of their separation according to Kidman's statement on Vanity Fair in 2002: "He basically swept me off my feet. I fell madly, passionately in love … My whole plan in terms of what I wanted for my life — I was like, 'Forget It.'" After sometime she realized that she sacrificed too much and said: "I realized I could be fulfilled creatively. I tried to deny it because it would have been so much easier for me to be satisfied by being a wife. I wish it could have been part of my trajectory, but it wasn't." And then of course, there was that height thing. "Well, I can wear heels now," Kidman joked on the "Late Show With David Letterman" shortly after the couple's split.
Tom Cruise's third wife was Katie Holmes. They were married in November 2006, Cruise was 44 and Katie was 27. They have Suri as a child. Katie's career was rumored to have caused their divorce as it slowed down since her marriage to Tom Cruise. Second was on the issue of how to raise their child, Suri. Holmes wanted Suri to live a normal childhood while Cruise wanted his daughter to live a more-sheltered, disciplined life.
