The Biggest Record Contract Of All Time

Michael Jackson is the undisputed King of Pop. Thriller, Don't Stop Til You Get Enough, Bad, Man In The Mirror, Dirty Diana, and Rock With You are just a few of the many hits that have topped the charts and made Michael Jackson one of the most influential artists of our day.

Michael Jackson ruled the 80s and 90s, and still topped the charts in the 2000s. In 2009 Michael passed away and the world was devastated. People felt as though they had lost a best friend or a family member. Many Americans had grown up listening to Michael Jackson and saw him grow and progress as well.

As time went on, Sony approached Michael Jackson's family about a possible record deal for the Michael Jackson Estate. Sony posed a 7 year 250 million dollar contract that would continue with his previous works, and release new songs as well. Michael Jackson has over 100 recorded songs that had never been released before.

The Jackson Estate decided to go ahead with the deal, making the largest record contract of all time. Since the time of Michael's passing, Sony has already sold over 31 million records, not to mention any of his money off of video games, films etc, making it so their contract has already proved to be extremely profitable.

Sony states that Michael's works have a great place in the future. With the new development of Michael Jackson video games, movies, and records, the possibilities for Michael music are virtually endless. There have even been talks about having Michael Jackson Broadway shows. Only time will tell how successful Micheal Jackson's music will continue to be, but if history repeats itself, Michale Jackson's music will live on for many generations to come.
