Simon Cowell would rather leave his fortune to a charity fir kids and dogs than share it with his offspring.
Simon is expecting his first child to controversial socialite girlfriend Lauren Silverman but it seems like the kid won’t inherit his father’s wealth. The reality talent show judge and business mogul revealed he does not believe in the passing on of his inheritance to the next generation. He said he’d rather pass on his $360 million wealth to an animal or children’s charity.
The 53-year-old X-Factor boss told Esquire magazine: 'I'm going to leave my money to somebody. A charity, probably - kids and dogs. I don't believe in that passing on from one generation to another. Your legacy has to be that hopefully you gave enough people an opportunity, so that they could do well, and you gave them your time, taught them what you know.”
Moreover, Cowell also added that he wants to be remembered as a successful person who has helped others rather than someone who helped his children stay rich. He has already been supporting a dog home. He helped set up a dog sanctuary in Barbados by donating $16,000 and another $160,000 to a dog shelter in Toluca Lake, California.
