10 Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Stretch Marks

stretch mark remedies

Stretch marks appear when you suddenly lose or gain weight. Women are particularly vulnerable to getting stretch marks (especially pregnant women) but this doesn’t mean men can’t have them too. They mostly appear on the belly, butt, thighs and arms.

Because of their unsightly nature, stretch marks can reduce your self-confidence so most people try to cover them up. Some cover them up using make up while others find it easier to wear clothes that conceal them.

If you are like most people, it will reach a point where you will want to eventually get rid of them. You can opt to go to a dermatologist who will advise you on the best treatment to rid yourself of the stretch marks. These treatments are not cheap, however, and they don’t always guarantee that they’ll make your marks disappear.

Thankfully, we have done our research and have found that you can reduce the appearance of stretch marks using ingredients that are already in your own home. You can combine most of these treatments in order to achieve maximum results. For example, you can exfoliate and then apply olive oil as a moisturizer.

Caution: You should note that some of the treatments listed here might interfere with any topical treatments you are using, so talk to your doctor before trying any of our suggested treatments. In addition, your skin might react to any one of the ingredients so we recommend you first apply the treatments on the inner part of your elbow and leave it on for 24 hours to see if you’ll get a reaction.

Egg whites contain amino acids and proteins, two key ingredients necessary for repairing skin cells efficiently. So pamper your skin and give it that smooth, fair appeal with the help of egg whites.

To help minimize the appearance of stretch marks, here’s what you need to do: Clean the part where you want to apply the egg whites, then crack two eggs in a bowl and separate the whites from the yolk. Whip the egg whites with a fork and apply a thick layer of the mixture with a makeup brush or your fingers. Allow the egg whites to dry completely. It should take about ten minutes, then rinse the egg whites from your skin with lukewarm water. Moisturize with olive oil and you can follow this routine every day for optimum results.

So here’s how to use sugar to reduce stretch marks: Thoroughly mix a tablespoon of sugar with a few drops of freshly squeezed lemon juice and almond oil. Rub the mixture on the affected areas for a few minutes every day. Rinse with warm water, pat dry and moisturize with olive oil and make sure you scrub every day for at least a month
