About Richard Bruce Cheney

American businessman and politician Dick Cheney has an estimated net worth of $90 million in 2013. From 2001 through 2009, Cheney served as United States’ 46th Vice President under the administration of President George W. Bush. He is often dubbed the most powerful vice president in the history of US politics.

Richard Bruce "Dick" Cheney was born on January 30, 1941 in Lincoln Nebraska. After completing his Bachelor and Master of Arts degree in political science from the University of Wyoming, Cheney’s political career commenced when he began his internship for William A. Steiger. Later on, he began working in the White House under the Ford and Nixon administrations.

After serving several posts in the government, he was selected by George W. Bush as his running mate in the 2000 presidential elections. The Republicans won the election against their democratic opponents, Al Gore and Joe Lieberman. In 2004, he began serving his second term as the country’s vice president.

Since 1964, Dick Cheney has been married to Lynne Cheney, with whom he raised two daughters named Elizabeth and May Cheney.
