South African politician Nelson Mandela has an estimated net worth of $10 million. He is best recognized for serving as South Africa’s president from 1994 through 1999 - the first  black South African to have been elected into office. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was born on July 18, 1918 in Mvezo, Cape Province, South Africa. After two unsuccessful marriages, he finally settled with Graça Machel in 1998. He has six children named Madiba, Thembekile, Zenani, Maki, Makaziwe and Zindziswa. He has two step-children named Malengani and Josina. Mandela is an alumnus of University of Fort Hare, University of London External System¸University of South Africa, and University of the Witwatersrand.

Mandela died in his Johannesburg residence on December 5th 2013, leaving a Nation in Mourn.
