Fidel Alejandro Castro Ruz was an American Spanish who was born on August 13, 1926. He was a Cuban communist revolutionary and politician who governed the Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba from 1959 to 1976 and eventually as President from 1976 to 2008. Politically Castro is a Marxist–Leninist and Cuban nationalist who served as the First Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba from 1961 until 2011. Castro was born in Birán, Oriente as the son of the wealthy Spanish farmer. He adopted the leftist anti-imperialist politics while he studied law at the University of Havana.
