A well-known democrat, Eliot Spitzer is a political commentator, lawyer and politician with an estimated net worth of $50 million.

From January 2007 through March 2008, Eliot Spitzer served as New York State's 54th governor. He opted to resign in 2008 after his involvement with Emperors Club VIP, an escort agency, was exposed. Prior to his service as the governor, Spitzer was once hired as the New York State Attorney General. After his resignation as the governor, he hosted current TV's Viewpoint with Eliot Spitzer.

Eliot Spitzer was born to Bernard Spitzer, a real estate tycoon. He attended Princeton University and took his juris doctor at Harvard Law School. As a lawyer, he specialized on corporate cases which involved internet fraud, environmental protection, white collar crime and security fraud.

While serving as New York State's governor, Eliot Spitzer had proposed several bills which earned a great amount of attention and controversy. Among these bills included the legalization of same sex marriage in the state and the issuance of drivers licenses to the illegal immigrants.

Eliot Laurence Spitzer was born on June 10, 1959 in The Bronx, New York. While studying at Harvard Law School, he met Silda Wall who eventually became his wife. They have three children together.
