Mrs. Herz earned her estimated net worth of $1.35 billion when she and her sons inherited Tachibo from her late husband Max Herz. Max founded the company in 1965 and is now considered the maker of Germany’s best-known coffer brand. They also own 50% of the listed skincare company, Beiersdorf AG, which is the maker of the Nivea brand.

Due to a family feud, Ingeburg Herz and three of his sons were involved in an effort to oust Gunther and Daniela from the company in 2003. Gunther and Daniela sold their combined 40% stake in the German consumer goods group to their mother and three brothers for an estimated $5 billion.
