The group of friends launched the show after they posted a video of Morenstein eating a six-patty, 18-bacon-strip cheeseburger at Wendy’s, that accrued thousands of views. The episodes have since earned "Epic Meal Time" millions of views and over 2.4 million subscribers to their YouTube channel.

According to Morenstein 'Epic Meal Time' is now a  brand, an episode cost about $1,000 to produce, but are self-sustaining, thanks to high advertising and sales. "Epic Meal Time" sells everything from bacon salt, bacon popcorn, bacon spread, and t-shirts.
