Crosslee, which makes tumble dryers in Halifax, was founded by its two main directors, Ross, 67, and Derek Clee.It sells a quarter of all tumble dyers bought in the UK but 60% of its production is for export. In 2009-10, Crosslee Holdings made a £2.5m profit on £43.2m sales. Adding most of the directors' £2.4m pay pushes the profit to nearly £5m and justifies a £50m valuation. Past salaries and dividends add £7m to Ross, who owns half.
