Walter Haefner was a Swiss businessman who had a net worth of $4.3 billion. It made him the 248th richest person in the world before his death in June 2012. During that time, he became the world's oldest billionaire at 101 years old. Haefner became the largest individual shareholder of the IT software maker called CA that was initially referred to as Computer Associates. He was able to sell the data processing firm in the year 1968 to University Computing that eventually got bought by the Computer Associates in 1987. Haefner held a 24% stake in his own name and benefitted from the rise of stock prices and wonderful high dividend payouts. His family is the owner of Automobil-und Motoren AG. The company is Switzerland's main importer of Volkswagen, Seat, Skoda, and Audi. In 2011, Haefner transferred ownership of his Moyglare Stud Farm in Ireland to his daughter.
