Thomas Kramer is a German real estate developer, venture capitalist and television personality who has an estimated net worth of $90 million. Born on April 27, 1957 in Bad Soden am Tanus, Hesse, Germany, he grew up as the son of a Frankfurt stockbroker Willi Kramer. He reputedly made his first stock trade by telephone at the age of 14. He attended the Salem Boarding School on the shores of Lake Constance then took up a brokerage apprenticeship in London and became a licensed broker. He briefly attended Harvard College then left and returned to Germany. Kramer joined his father’s firm before he moved to Shearson Lehman Brothers. In 1986, he founded his own company, TK Kapitalverwaltung GmbH, through which he made his famous 1987 windfall. After predicting a stock downturn, he made a name for himself as well as a large profit as a stock speculator. He then poured his money into East German real estate but he met opposition from area businesses and the press. Thomas Kramer then shifted his focus to South Beach, Miami, Florida where he had a noteworthy part in its development. He may have met with considerable resistance but it revitalized the region which has been failing for some time. Recently, he also focused on philanthropy and charitable work. He is a well-known society figure for hosting charitable events at his Star Island Miami Beach mansion. Recently, he has appeared on The Real Housewives of Atlanta as one of Kim Zolciak’s best friend and also in The Real Housewives of Miami.
