In March 1997, Xiaofeng Peng launched Suzhou Liouxin. Until February 2006, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Suzhou Liouxin is considered as Asia's leading manufacturer of personal protective equipment. In July 2005, he founded LDK Solar Co., Ltd. He serves as the chief executive officer as well as the chairman of the board of the company. He also chairs the board of Jiangxi Ldk Pv Silicon Technology Company Ltd. He even serves as the Director of LDK New Energy Holding Limited.

After obtaining his diploma in international business in 1993 from Jiangxi Foreign Trade School, he attended Beijing University Guanghua School of Management to complete his MBA degree in 2002.
