Russian telecom tycoon Vladimir Yevtushenkov has an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion as of April 2016, according to Forbes. He is best associated with Sistema, a Russian holding company where he currently serves as the President. He owns 62% of Sistema's stakes which makes him the company's largest shareholder. In addition to Sistema, Vladimir Yevtushenkov also owns Sitronics, a Russian company.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov co-founded Sistema in 1993. In 2005, the company went public and it was listed at London Stock Exchange. In July 2012, his mobile outfit MTS, was banned from operating in Uzbekistan. MTS is considered as Russia's largest cellular operator.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov was born on September 25, 1948 in Smolensk Russia. After completing his bachelor's degree from Mendeleyev Chemical Engin, Vladimir Yevtushenkov attended Moscow State University to obtain his Master's degree. In 1973, he earned his master's degree in Chemistry. Seven years later, he completed his Master's degree in Economics, and by 1986, he has already earned his PhD in Economics. He is currently married, and has two children.
