Indian businessman Venugopal Dhoot has an estimated net worth of $1.06 billion as of May 2016 according to Forbes. He is considered by Forbes as India's 38th wealthiest man.

Venugopal Dhoot was born in Mumbai India on September 30, 1931. He is a graduate of College of Engineering, Pune in India. He is currently married to Rama Dhoot with whom he has two children Surbhi and Anirudh. He is the son of an Indian industrialist Nandlal Madhavlal Dhoot who accumulated his wealth in the cotton and sugarcane industry. His father is also the founder of Videocon Electronics and Videocon Corporation.

Currently, Venugopal Dhoot is running Videocon, an Indian company that specializes on manufacturing appliances and electronics. Videocon also owns 10% stakes in a Mozambique oil field which was estimated to cost around $2 billion. His younger brother, Pradip moved to Dubai recently to oversee their oil investments.
