After working as an advisor to hedge funds, Thomas Kaplan founded Apex Silver Mines where he later served as the Chairman and CEO. He was also one of the pioneering teams which discovered the San Cristobal deposit in Bolivia. Today, this mineral deposit is considered as one of the world’s largest producers of zinc and silver.
