Born in India, Shivinder Mohan Singh has earned his estimated net worth as one of the heirs to the Ranbaxy Laboratory fortune from their grandfather, Bhai Mohan Singh, who founded the company that is now a unit of the Japanese drugmaker, Daiichi Sankyo. He and his brother inherited their family’s 33.5% stake in Ranbaxy after the death of their father in 1999. With their wealth, they belong to the twenty richest Indians.

Shivinder and Malvinder continue to build fortune after they sold their pharma inheritance for $2 billion in 2008.
