Ryoichi Jinnai is the founder of Promise and he has an estimated net worth of $1.1 billion as of April 2013 according to Forbes. The one who started the third-largest consumer finance company where he served as the honorary chairman, his earnings made him the 28th richest person in Japan’s 50 Richest list as well as the 1268th in the list of World Billionaires.

In 2001, Mr. Jinnai retired from the consumer lender company, the same year that his only son Hideki died. He now raised cattle and grows mangos and bananas in his greenhouse in the northern island of Hokkaido, Japan. The place is known for its frigid winter. In December 2011, the company he founded was acquired by Sumitomo in a stock swap.
