Well known Indian philanthropist, politician and businessman Rahul Bajaj has an estimated net worth of $2.6 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. Apart from being a member of the Indian parliament, Bajaj currently sits as Chairman of Bajaj Group, an Indian conglomerate.

In 2001, he became a recipient of Padma Bhushan, which is considered as the third highest civilian award granted in India. Rahul Bajaj has attended  St. Stephen's College in Delhi, Cathedral and John Connon School, Government Law College, Mumbai and Harvard Business School. It was in 1965 when he took over the Bajaj Group.

Rahul Bajaj was born on June 10, 1938 in Bengal Presidency, British India. He was married to Rupa Bajaj until the latter's death in March 2013. They have three children together named Sanjiv, Rajiv and Sunaina. His sons Sanjiv and Rajiv are actively involved in the management of the family business while his daughter Sunaina is married to Temasek India's former head, Manish Kejriwal.
