Peter M. Brant is an American businessman, industrialist, and philanthropist with an estimatedl fortune of $2.7 billion. Brant currently serves as the Chairman of the White Birch Paper, Brant Publications, and the Brant Foundation.

Originating from New York, Brant left the University of Colorado to start working for his father's company, the Brant-Allen Industries. It was a paper-conversion company turned into a paper mill through the efforts of Brant and his cousin. In 2004, Brant purchased a second Quebec mill, and two years later, the third paper mill was bought.

Currently based in New York City, Brant's Brant Publications, Inc. currently publishes four magazines which include the Interview, The Magazine Antiques, Art In America, and Modern.

Peter Brant was first married to Sandra Simms. They have five children, four of which are now working for their father's companies. After four decades of being married, the couple divorced in 1995. On the same year, Brant married the supermodel Stephanie Seymour with whom he has a daughter and two sons.
