Nathan Kirsh is a Swazi business magnate who has an estimated net worth of $5.80 billion.

In 1958, Nathan Kirsh founded his corn milling business in Swaziland. He expanded into wholesale food business after apartheid in South Africa.  His company was obligated to buy all the corn grown in Swaziland and became its importer of the crop.

Eventually, he decided to start another business venture. This time, Kirsh acquired a wholesale food operations business in 1970. He transformed it as a cash and carry business that makes it as the country's black-owned local grocery stores.

Kirsh expanded his ventures into real estate in 1984. He sold 49% of the conglomerate to the insurance company, Sanlam. As of 2013, there are 90 Restaurant Depot and 10 Jetro Cash & Carry stores.

Aside from his business, Kirsh served as chairman of Swaziland's electricity board for 23 years.

Nathan Kirsh was born on January 6, 1932 in Potchefstroom, South Africa. He completed his degree in Commerce at the University of Witwatersrand and has obtained an Honorary Doctorate of Law at the University of Swaziland. He's married to Frances Herr and has three children.
