Chinese businessman Liang Wengen has an estimated net worth of $3.9 billion as of April 2016, according to Forbes. In addition to being the founder, Liang Wengen also serves as the Chairman of Sany Heavy Industry which is currently based in Changsha, Hunan Province. With his $8 billion net worth in 2011, Wengen was named as China's wealthiest man.

Of humble origin, Liang Wengen was actually born to a poor family in Hunan province. Previously, he worked for a state arms plant, before he created his own name in the construction-equipment industry. He owns 58% of Sany Heavy Industry which is considered as one of the  largest non-government-controlled construction equipment manufacturers in China. Last year, Liang Wengen partnered with  CITIC Private Equity Advisors of China which led to the purchase of Putzmeister. Putzmeister is considered as one of the largest concrete pump manufacturers in the world.

Currently living in Changsha Hunan, Liang Wengen is a graduate of Central South University. He is married with one child.
