Jack Roush is the founder and CEO of Roush Fenway Racing and Chairman of Roush Enterprises who has an estimated net worth of $200 million. Born on April 19, 1942 in Covington, Kentucky, he grew up in Manchester, Ohio. He graduated with a Mathematics degree with a bachelor in physics from Berea College. He then earned his masters in Scientific Mathematics from Eastern Michigan University.

After graduation in 1966, Roush worked at Ford. He worked for a year at Chrysler. In 1970, he left to pursue his own company and open an engineering business. He then went to partner with Wayne Gapp to race in NHRA, IHRA, and AHRA drag racing events.

Roush Enterprises is the parent company for Roush Fenway Racing, a NASCAR team based in Concord, North Carolina, Roush Industries, a freelance engineering firm, and Roush Performance, an automotive aftermarket development company. Roush Industries and Roush performance are headquartered in Livonia, Michigan. His companies have more than 2,000 employees in North American and Europe.

Jack Roush is known as “The Cat in the Hat” in the NASCAR circuit because he is always seen with his trademark Panama hat. He was inducted into the International Motorsports Hall of Fame on April 27, 2006. He was elected to the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame in 2008 and was inducted on September 13, 2010.
