Chilean businessman Eliodoro Matte has an estimated net worth of $2.4 billion as of April 2016, according to Forbes. Today, the Matte family is considered as one of the richest, most influential and powerful families in Chile.

He is one of the three members of the Matte family who own a massive wealth from paper products and forestry business. Along with Patricia and Bernardo, Eliodoro Matte holds large stakes in shipping, banking and telecom companies.

Each of them holds different roles in the family business. Eliodoro serves as the President of five of Grupo CMPC's holdings. On the other hand, his brother Bernardo is overseeing some of the family's assets which include electric utility Colbun, and Banco Bice where he currently serves as president. Meanwhile, Patricia serves on the board of Instituto Libertad y Desarroll which is a private think tank that specializes in analyzing economic and social issues as well as public policies.
