Dieter Schnabel is a German entrepreneur with an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion. He is the owner of the chemical company, Helm AG. The company's sales grew to 20 percent with $12.7 billion profit in 2011 which played a significant role in the increase of Schnabel's net worth.
Born in 1946 in Hamburg, his father was a German entrepreneur who took over Helm AG in 1950. In 1968, Dieter also joined the company and became an active member. Later, in 1984 he was appointed the CEO when his father the founder and leader of Helm AG took retirement.
Dieter has been developing the company from a trading house to making it an international marketing organization. The growth of the company has been immense and from 1984 to 2004, the company's revenue touched $3.5 billion. He took over as Chairman of the Board in the year 2012.
