Inspired by his father's challenge to make million dollars by his 4oth birthday, Dean White is now one of the most successful hotel and billboard magnates in the country. He was able to open a $450 million worth of development in Indianapolis. One of the highlights of the kickoff celebration of this property was the presence of Diana Ross. It is located near the Lucas Oil Field which is the home of the NFL Colts.
Dean White joined his father's billboard business, the Whiteco Advertising Company, in 1946 which he took over in 1952. Under his administration, Dean White plowed profits which enabled him to build hotel empires. In 1998, he sold Whiteco Advertising Company to Chancellor Media Corporation for $960 million.
Dean White had an estimated net worth of $2.5 billion.
