American businessman, entrepreneur and president of the mixed martial arts organization, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in the US, Dana White has an estimated net worth of $300 million. Born in Manchester, CT on July 28, 1969, White grew up in Las Vegas, NV, Ware, MA and Levant, ME. He graduated from Hermon High School in Hermon, ME in 1987. He attended the University of Massachusetts Boston but did not finish school. However, he launched a boxing program for inner-city youth while in the university. He conducted aerobics classes in three gyms in the Las Vegas area. He established the Dana White Enterprises in Las Vegas in 1992 and began managing the MMA fighters Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell.

White soon found out that Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the UFC, was looking to sell the UFC. He was lucky that he grew up with Lorenzo Fertita, an executive at the Station Casino and a former commissioner of the Nevada State Athletic Association. Lorenzo and his brother Frank bought the UFC within a month and they made White the president. He also owns about 9% of Zuffa, LLC, the entity the Fertita brothers created to own and manage the UFC.

Dana White donated $50,000 to the Francisco Espinoza Foundation in December 2010. He also donated approximately $8,000 to help pay for the brain tumor treatment of two-year old British girl Ruby Owen. The girl’s uncle, who is a UFC fan, contacted White via email and asked if he could help by donating to the Ruby Owen fund raising website. He even gave $300 to one fan, without any hesitation, who said that he received a speeding ticket while racing across town just to meet him. Shortly after he was named the 2009 Nevada Sportsman of the Year, he added $100,000 to the $250,000 total raised for the fund raising marathon sponsored by ESPN Radio 1100 for Las Vegas.

White is married and they have two sons and a daughter. He and his sister were brought up by his mom who produced his biography Dana White, King of MMA. He is a passionate fan of Boston Red Sox.
