Russian businesman Arkady Rotenberg has an estimated net worth of $1.37 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. Rotenberg acquired most of his net worth from his construction, pipes and banking business.

Due to his warm relationship with President Vladimir Putin, Arkady Rotenberg is considered as one of the most influential personalities in Russia. Together with his brother Boris, Arkady is a sparring partner of Putin in judo and since then, the three have become close friends.

This 61-year old entrepreneur finished his bachelor of arts/sciences degree at Leningrad Institute of Physical Culture. He is currently married with two children. Since 2008, Arkady Rotenberg has been purchasing the subsidiaries of Russia-based Gazprom which led to the formation of Stroygazmontazh Corporation (SGM Group). Today, GSM Group is the biggest construction contractors in the field of energy as well as the largest supplier of steel pipes to Gazprom. Just recently, SGM has acquired Gazprom-Bureniye which is considered as one of Russia's largest drilling companies. Currently, Arkady Rotenberg owns  51% of SGM shares.
