Aloke Lohia is a Thai businessman and he has an estimated net worth of $1.3 billion as of May 2016 according to Forbes. Born Anil P. Lohia on November 27, 1958 in Calcutta, India, he earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree at Delhi University. He also holds an honorary Ph.D. from Rajamangala University of Technology Krungthep in Thailand.

Lohia accumulated his estimated net worth of $1.3 billion when he founded Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited on January 1, 1994. As of March 2013, he is the eighth richest person in Thailand and 1107th the world. Also called the Indorama Ventures, it is a polyester and yarn manufacturer.
