In the “Forbes 400” list, he was the 388th richest person and was ranked 1175th in the list of World Billionaires. His business career started out with selling jewelry after he graduated from Lvov Institute of Trade & Economics with a Ph.D. in international economics. However, he was destined to succeed in the field of fertilizers. He then started selling fertilizers and founded IBE Trade Corp. while being good at clinching several deals. In a period of 15 years, he became the president of the firm. Today, it controls 12% of ammonia and 6% of ammonium nitrate supply in the world.
